Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I recently visited The Vintage Kitchen at Capitol Hotel in Guntur for lunch. The ambiance was quiet yet welcoming, which set a pleasant tone for the meal. The staff were exceptionally keen to please, although they lacked in-depth knowledge of the menu, which was a bit disappointing. The quality of the South Indian non-vegetarian items was good, but unfortunately, they fell short in terms of authenticity. The Andhra fish fry, for instance, tasted more like fish Amritsari, and the Gongura Mutton curry was mostly fat and bone. Despite these shortcomings in the food, the service was excellent. The staff's attentiveness and the clean, well-maintained interiors made for a comfortable dining experience. However, if you're looking for authentic South Indian cuisine, this might not be the best place. It's better suited for those who prioritize good service and a clean environment over traditional flavors.
A top-notch hotel in regard to ambience. We went for dinner and ordered soups, two veg starters, butter Naan with 3 curries. The items are Ok taste, not extraordinary. We have ordered kadai chicken as 1 gravy curry and it is given with bones, mostly it will be boneless only. The staff are polite, the service is bit tad and the quality of the food is not exceptional and the quantity is not upto mark. The prices of every single item is very high even the water bottles have been charged 99/- and 149/- respectively. We didn't expect this higher prices at a restaurant in guntur and have shelled out 4k for a dinner.
It is located in the capital hotel. The Capital Hotel in Guntur is known for its nice accommodations and good service. Here it has options for dining restaurant and buffets. The food here is bit costly and taste of the food is good. Mainly the starters are excellent and veg soup is good and coming to chicken soup it is not so good and coming to biryani the taste is not that flavourable, it is just okay. We have ordered a biryani special capital chicken biryani which costs around 499, but the taste is not acceptable for that cost and veg mushroom biryani it is just okay, coming to rice it is like normal rice where they added mushroom pieces to it.
Food is worst. Price is expensive compared to other restaurants but quality of food is poor. I don't recommend to visit this place once again.
Best dine-in restaurant in guntur. Parking is available and food is very good. We ordered babycirn Manchuria, Andhra fish fry, and biryanis. Tangdi biryani is good.
Good but not very tasty food. well serviced, try at once to think before to visit 2nd tym we tried 1818 special biryani but there is no special in it just a biryani. We tried Chicken Majestic, but that was also average.
While Ambience is good, quality and cleanliness of kitchen is doubtful. Hair in starters and non-veg in veg Biryani.. this can't be called fine-dine on any terms....
Decent Place to catch up with family and friends. Veg Dumplings, Zaffran Panner Tikka and Chettinad Curry Stands out.
