Customer Reviews & Testimonials
This is our go to place. But I have rated 3 star because two times I had the same experience that the chicken was not fresh. Once it was a main course dish and second time it was a starter (podi wings).
To begin, I am a diehard fan of North Indian mughlai cuisine. Since it was our first time, we wanted to try out the usual, butter chicken, some assortment of naan, kulcha and rumali roti. There were Bengali cuisines as well, which took me back to my Kolkata days, so I ordered fish fry, kosha mangsho. - Fish fry, the batter was thick in my opinion, the ones I ate in Kolkata had light batter which was perfect, not too crispy and not too soggy, just right to compliment the softness of the fish. Usually in Kolkata they use Betki fillets, i don't know which fish they used, but it was ok. - butter chicken, which I thought can't go wrong since it's Sanjeev Kapoor's, tasted overpoweringly sweet and tangy. The ones I tasted in Delhi or in any truck driver's Dhaba was creamy, buttery, with slight hint of acidity, not at all overpowering. It's butter and chicken, I think that's the ingredient that should shine. -kosha mangsho, I must say the quality of the mutton was good and it was cooked well. The meat was fall apart tender, kudos to the chef. However, I feel the gravy could have been better, I think the philosophy of kosha mangsho, is to cook the mutton longer and render the meat with the gravy, so that not just the meat but the gravy too stars the dish. I think the ones I tried, the gravy didn't taste muttony at all. The gravy was not smooth but it was coarse and lumpy. - breads were ok, could have been better - service, I think the waiters were nice and friendly. However on a couple of occasions, they were so eager to take our plates away. When we have taken the last morsel I feel the customers should be given some time to catch a breather before their plates are whisked away. For a moment I felt they want us to leave immediately. - ambiance was the best part of the restaurant. The moment you enter, you feel a sense of calmness and positivity. Great job
Have been frequenting this place from last 12 years. The taste has been phenomenal. Sajeev Kapoor is GOAT for a reason. Love the taste.
This place has been my all time favourite. The ambience, the lip-smackingly dishes and the great staff. They have their signature dishes on the menu which are highly unlikely to be ever disliked. I personally tasted most of their dishes, the recent one being the veg platter and god, it was awesome.
The chicken lollipop was good. Didn't like the pizza as much. The Friedrice was love, a definite must try. Among the chicken dishes, chicken rezala was not that good. Staff was good and helpful. The prices are a bit higher but can visit for a good meal.
Just love the food...And the ambience is also nice...I had chilly paneer for starters and it was just mouth water....The price is a little high but the food is worth the money...Also giving 10% discount to iit student
A good place. But their serving takes more time. So, if you are looking for quick bite this Restaurant is not a good choice.. Food was good but not super excellent. Staffs were good, well behaved but I observed some of them were whispering in their by looking our group -if they don't do this that would be appreciable. Also the price of cold drinks was too much high -they charged Rs 75 for a glass of cold drinks -I think this is too much! Their ambience is super cool -it is spacious and we can talk comfortably!
I was at yellow Chilli one of the heritage restaurants from Sanjeev Kapoor's group of resturant . I have always loved their since it's one of my favourite places to visit. I was at The Yellow Chilli with a friend of my mine and we tasted the new menu. The food was indeed splendid no doubt. The place is renovated and made into a beautiful one with extravagant decorations which looks more classy & elegant. The service is on point. The staff is really good & humble humans. Now coming to the food. I had tried their delicious Palak patta Chaat which was yummmm, the chicken Shorba was fabulously cooked. Starting the starters I love their whole Tandoori Chicken, cheese chilli chicken tikka was my favourite, the Cajun prawns are a must must try ! Malai ki Shami was again a loved one. The corn methi croquettes were delicious as it's crisp & chessy. Coming to main course the Peshawari naan is my personal recommendation. The Lalla Mussa Daal is something you cannot miss. The Paneer Kofta & Rajasthani Murgh ka Mukul was the shows topper. For desserts I loved the Gulabi Gulkand. If you have sweet tooth it's an absolute love. The Yellow Chilli is one of the finest resturants in the city that has been serving some of the delicious dishes in the city. The taste is authentic & flavours are wholesome. I personally recommend this place is a must try !
