Casa Lisboa

We had three days stay at Haathi Mahal, one one of day we had organised dinner to celebrate birthday. Chef Kundan there had facilitated with some amazing starters, pasta, pizzas and garlic bread. Absolutely no scope for any fault finding with any of the items. We had panner lasuni tikkas, spring rolls, onion rings, cheese balls. Really loved the hospitality of chef, talks lot about customer service Preeti at bar prepared few amazing mock tails and cocktails, with dot precision. Expreso Martini cocktail was one of the best. Authentic Goan and awesome continental food. I can vouch for this being a Goan and a foodie. When you order, please mention that you want authentic Goan food. The chef's Kundan and Barun are extremely talented but very humble. The service team Ayush, Shanon, Jollen, Crespo are all extremely proactive and attentive. Dinner time is less crowded than lunch.

Lovely ambience and live music. They are really helpful and kind. The food also tastes great!

This restaurant is attached to the accomodation so one has to present id to enter it. Food was utterly disappointing because my friend and I ended up with food poisoning. We ordered lassi, which tasted like spoilt sour curd. Fish fry, pumpkin curry didn't have any taste and it was salty. Sad part was we ended up vomitting and having diarrhoea around 7-8 times because of the pathetic food. Looks like it was a way for the hotel to clear up previous day's stock. Plus the menu was overpriced and we paid 1500 for this horrible food.

I had a wonderful experience at Casa Lisboa, a fine dining restaurant that serves exquisite Portuguese cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurant is located in a charming resort with elegant decor and attentive service. The menu offers a variety of dishes that showcase the best of local ingredients and flavours. The portions are generous and the presentation is impeccable. The wine list is extensive and features some of the finest Portuguese wines. For dessert, I recommend the chocolate cake with caramel ice cream, which was decadent and delicious. Case Lisboa is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in South Goa.

My husband and I just went for lunch at Casa Lisboa, and we did NOT have a very good experience!! First of all, there was no sign for Casa Lisboa outside the Haathi Mahal Resort. When I asked the security guy at the gate if Casa Lisboa was nearby, he straight away asked me for my ID! I asked again. He did not confirm. I asked why he needed my ID as I said we were only coming for lunch, not to stay! We noticed that other guests were not asked for an ID. Especially the non Indian/brown skinned guests. We have travelled the world, and nowhere have we been treated this way! Appalling to say the least. Anyway, after that unpleasant experience, we were told the restaurant was 1 floor down but not guided to where it was. Sadly, the food was so mediocre that we wished we hadn't bothered, especially with the trouble we had at security and front desk. We went a la carte because we could see the hourds of people drooling over the buffet, picking food up with their hands, breathing/sneezing over the food, etc. It's really unhygienic! I ordered the veg kung pao with cashew nuts and sichuan rice. Unfortunately, there were perhaps 2 burnt cashew nuts cut into pieces and all I could taste was plenty of soy sauce. Veg was only peppers and maybe 1 slice of carrot and courgette. The veg was not fresh! The dish was advertised with cashew nuts. I mean, Goa is known for cashew nuts, and you can see vendor after vendor selling big juicy cashew nuts right next door and opposite the Casa Lisboa/Haathi Mahal Resort. I told the waiter there were hardly any cashews in the dish. He gave me some lame excuse, picked up my spoon, and showed me a small piece of cashew nut in the whole dish!!! My husband ordered the butter chicken and naan, and again, this was very disappointing. The chicken was boiled and rubbery according to him. Naan was OK. Needless to say, we weren't happy with the ID experience, the food, or the service. Nobody really took ownership and resolved the above issues, so we do NOT recommend Casa Lisboa at the Haathi Mahal Resort.

Very nice food. Super tasty and made with perfection. I did not try lunch buffet but Ala-carte was really good. Soup was nice and so was main course. It has both outdoor and indoor seating arrangement .. outside has a pool nearby.. good feel of place. Staff is very warm too..

We had a good outing that the swimming pool is good. It's one of the premium property. Apartment rooms are pretty big and decent.
