Lightning Bar&Restaurant

We visited this restaurant for an unexpected dinner. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants around the area were jam-packed, so we had to stop here. We came here as a family of 8, but this was our first and last visit. Words fall short to explain how incompetent the management as well as the servers here are. First, this place has absolutely dim and shabby lighting. The chairs and tables are made of incredibly low-quality materials. Hardly anyone even visits this place; it's usually empty. Their food was just average. I'm only giving 2 stars because I liked their butter chicken curry a little, although we told the middle-aged server to give us boneless, yet he gave us with bones. No 'sorry,' no courtesy--nothing. Also, if you love a soothing place and have chosen this restaurant, be prepared to hear the lovely sounds coconuts make while they fall on the metal roof. Absolutely devastating experience here. Also, please don't try their lime soda or water; it felt like they served us expired lemons, yet the staff didn't accept their fault. Thankfully, they didn't charge for it during billing. Speaking honestly, this place is okay for men who love booze and some food. Stay away if you're a couple or a family. Never returning here again.

Family owned and managed, positively the best food tasted in the last few days. Good quantity and quality for a reasonable cost.

Food was good and the quantity of the food too. Service was also quick! And reasonable prices! Crispy chicken was tasty and even the mix hakka noodles.

Lepo Fish thali was delicious. Not too spicy; just right. Waiting time was a bit more, but it was worth the wait as the food was delicious and freshly cooked in order. Also good ambience and service. Family owned cosy restaurant. A must visit if you are in South Goa.

Decent place with good food & reasonable prices . We stopped over here for lunch. We had a veg thali and veg pulav . Veg pulav is yummy & loaded with vegetables , though oil could have been little less . In thali , they served a leafy vegetable bhaji , dal , papad salad , and kokum rasam . Everything tasted good .

We dropped one late evening. There were no other guests, probably because it was late and a weekday. It is a family owned restaurant. The food quality was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was prompt, and the prices were reasonable. The beef and dal were flavourful. The naan had a delightful crispiness. We had Kulfi for dessert. We had a lovely dinner. Looking forward to returning soon!

Awesome good and great ambiance. The quantity of food is great, more worth than the price. Good parking space too. Definitely recommended for a group of friends or family.
