Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Are they running dormitory in Goa for travellers or for Govt school i doubt such a pathetic experience and rules are horrible. "I am a frequent traveler, but I have never had such a disappointing stay. The facility has around 100 beds, 100000 bed bugs, but shockingly, there are only 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Yes, just three for everyone! The rules are equally absurd. A 9 AM checkout policy is rigidly enforced, and even when the place was only 25% occupied, the owner insisted I pay an entire day's fare for requesting just 60 extra minutes. The strangest rule is that from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, no one is allowed inside because it's designated as cleaning and maintenance time. It's incredibly inconvenient and impractical. If there was an option to rate this stay less than 1 star, I wouldn't hesitate. Highly disappointing and not recommended!"

During my recent visit to Panaji, Goa, I had the pleasure of dining at Basseraa Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience that deserves a five-star review. Nestled in the heart of the city, Basseraa offers a delightful blend of Sindhi, Goan, and North Indian cuisines, catering to a wide range of palates. The ambiance of the restaurant is both cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well-served. One of the standout dishes I had the pleasure of tasting was their Sabudana Vada. This traditional Maharashtrian snack, made from tapioca pearls, mashed potatoes, and peanuts, was executed to perfection at Basseraa. The vadas were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, bursting with flavors that were both familiar and refreshing. Accompanied by a tangy tamarind chutney and a spicy green chutney, the Sabudana Vada provided a harmonious blend of tastes that left a lasting impression. In addition to the Sabudana Vada, the menu boasts a variety of other delectable dishes. The Chicken Thali, for instance, offers a generous serving of tender chicken cooked in aromatic spices, accompanied by rice, roti, and a selection of side dishes that showcase the rich culinary heritage of the region. For vegetarians, the Dal Pakwaan is a must-try; the lentils are cooked to perfection and served with crispy flatbreads, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. The restaurant maintains high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, which is particularly reassuring in these times. The pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality and quantity of food served. In conclusion, Basseraa Restaurant in Panaji is a culinary gem that offers a diverse menu, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere. Whether you're a local or a tourist, it's a dining experience that shouldn't be missed.

I was disappointed with the quality of food at the restaurant. The taste didn't meet my expectations, and I found hair strands in one of the dishes, which was concerning. Additionally, I observed that prepared food was left out at the serving table, which raised some hygiene concerns. Overall, my experience was subpar, and I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their food quality and hygiene practices.

I had stayed here for one night, 23-24 december 2023. - It's quite spacious inside compared to other dormitories. - Nice, friendly staff. - The bathroom is the worst part of this dormitory. There's stagnant water and there are only 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets, for a total of 40 bunk beds! - Plug point is nearby for each bed. - If you book on the spot, the rate is just 500 per night. (See pic). I ended up paying 702 for the same at goibibo. Only because i didn't know this earlier. (Hence, this is the reason reviews exist). - Blankets are provided. - This dormitory is only for men. Drinking water available. They have a hot/normal/cold water dispenser. If you're looking for a cheap stay and don't mind the dirty water stagnant bathroom, then this dormitory is your best bet.

I have stayed here for 2 days (almost in Night time only), so they as like other Dormitories they also start AC by 21:00 hours but other Dormitories have ceiling fan/pedestal fan enough to keep surrounding cool but they have only 2 pedestal fan, so all places won't get air in Non-AC time, some people will take pedestal fan to their bed if they need without intervention of property owner/care taker. They have locker system but not providing locks to them by giving excuses that they don't have, thank God I always carry lock with me so I used my own They have their restaurant just beside, food is too good though found bit expensive, also they offer discount to those who stay at their Dormitory
