The atmosphere of this restaurant is immediately calming and inviting, creating a truly relaxing dining experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable, providing exceptional service. The complimentary tasters - three thinly sliced chips with a cheese puree - were a bit underwhelming; the flavor was similar to a familiar cheese spread. However, the crab, lamb and chicken starters were incredibly delicious, offering a bold fusion of flavors that provided a blissful assault on the taste buds. I'm generally not a seafood enthusiast, but the crab starter was a revelation! While the lactogenated chicken and the pan-Asian variant were cooked and served to perfection, their flavors, unfortunately, didn't quite reach the depth I was hoping for. The steak, however, was a triumph. Cooked to perfection, it was incredibly flavourful and came in a generous portion. The accompanying mashed potatoes and vegetables were a delightful complement. A suggestion for future menu development: a Portuguese Bitoque-inspired steak would be a fantastic addition! For dessert, the honey creme caramel was enjoyable, although the texture was quite dense, possibly due to the inclusion of bread in the caramel blend. A lighter consistency would have provided a more balanced and refreshing end to the meal. Despite a few minor misses, my overall experience was highly positive. I'm eager to return in the future and see how the menu evolves, particularly with a few suggested tweaks.

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Panjim. Loved the vibe. Great staff who are friendly and interactive with the guests. Delicious Appetizers and exotic Drinks are decently priced. However, the main course although very interesting, may appeal to some as it has a very foreign menu, is a bit on the expensive side. It is a great place for celebrations and nice to have a new experience in Goa.

Chef Avinash Martins is renowned for his modern Goan dishes that beautifully capture Goa through stories, but it is at his newest restaurant, Janot which shows his true range of culinary skill. I experienced Janot's tasting menu, where each course has flavours that danced between local and international influences. The Panjim Gymkhana setting, with its cricket field and riverside views, adds a unique charm that's hard to beat. Chef Avinsh's' passion for quality ingredients and bold pairings is evident from the moment you enter and see a large marble table with inset bowls holding spices, the stand of microgreens by the door and the kitchen garden on the terrace.

Chef Avinash Martins food continues to please, though Cavatina in Benaulim still remains my favorite. But if you can't go to the South then do visit Janot and taste his food. The hallm cutlets are very good! If you are going on a weekend, parking could be a challenge.

An exceptional experience at JANOT, Panjim Gymkhana What a delightful experience JANOT turned out to be! From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely stellar--Sagar and the entire team were attentive, professional, and warm, going well beyond the expected. A rare find these days. Chef Param truly excelled--every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with the variety available. It's not often one finds such a wide and satisfying spread without having to ask for "special options". The decor is elegant without being overdone--charming, understated, and very comfortable. Ample parking was a real plus, especially in a city like Panjim. The setting within Panjim Gymkhana adds to the appeal, with access to lovely recreational spaces and a view of the river that's perfect for a relaxed evening. Highly recommended for anyone who values excellent food, thoughtful service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant opened by MasterChef Avinash martins in north goa after his successful venture cavatina in south goa . Had opportunity yo visit today thought the official inauguration is on 3rd March , a wonderful ambience and a beautiful place and a nice menu with astonishing cocktails . I did have a great evening.
