Ritz Classic-Panjim Gymkhana

We headed to Ritz Classic - Panjim Gymkhana for a team lunch, hosted by one of our partners who holds a membership. The space instantly gave off an exclusive vibe, with access to beautifully maintained, members-only facilities. The highlight? An absolutely stunning poolside view and weather that made the outdoor seating near-perfect -- breezy, bright, and serene. We kicked off with beer, paired with a plate of Rava-Fried Bombil (Bombay Duck) and some Butter Garlic Prawns. Both starters were fresh, flavourful, and well-presented with a side of salad. The prawns came with some crispy French fries, which made for a great snacky touch. For mains, we dove into a Chicken Vindaloo, served with Poie and Pav. The breads soaked up the spicy, tangy vindaloo beautifully--though fair warning, the heat level might be a bit much for those with a milder palate. We also ordered the classic Prawn Curry with Rice, done in true Goan style with a coconut milk base that was mellow and comforting. Tried their Pina Colada with White Rum, which didn't really hit the mark. But things ended on a high note with a creamy, crumbly bowl of Serradura -- simple and satisfying. Final verdict: 4/5. Great setting, good food, and that poolside breeze made everything just a little bit better.

Being a Sunday the place was quite full, but we got seats immediately. we reached late so no thali was available. We ordered A La Carte...food was good. Service was lousy, prawns curry was deliicious , so was sukha teesryo, prawns hakka noodles quantity was quite less.our fried fish came after we finished our food. Took 15 minutes to get water and for finger bowls. Extremely bad service.

Excellent spot to spend time , very neat place and staffs are very friendly..., food is really great, non veg platter was good, had mocktails, cocktails, beers etc.... we ordered hyderabadi biryani but it was not that good when compared with other dishes.....

Absolutely loved the place here.. op n air resturant facing the backwaters , afternoon hours are the best time to visit. Great seafood options. No time limit on working hours. Must try dishes - Butter garlic prawns , squid , coriander chicken , bangda rawa fry fish. Loved the dessert serradura pudding more than the caramel pudding.

This is a nice place by the Panjim Miramar road with a lot of free inhouse parking services. The restaurant provides both AC and non AC sections. The ambience is good in AC as well as the breezy non-AC section. I preferred the cool natural breezy area. I tried the squid golden fry, chonaak rava fry which was fresh and crispy. Among the drinks, Cinderella was very sweet having only the taste of the slice.The gimlet was good but the quantity was very less. One must try the chicken 65 at this place which has a good taste. Coriander chicken is nice and yummy, a must try here. The service is great here. The waiters are very polite and welcoming. Will be one the rare person who will be giving 1 star to this legendary resturant. I have been visiting this restaurant ( the other old Panjim branch) since long time and tried this gymkhana branch for the first time. As usual it has waiting and over that being single person., was told to wait so that sharing table can be arranged. From that time my pathetic experience started. I had to wait for more than 45 mins for my turn. The most irritating factor was that they were alloting table for customer who had came after me. This happened for atleast 5 customer who came after me and every time I was told that since I am single, sharing table is not being arranged. After a long wait of 45 minutes, I was allotted table in sharing with a family group of 7-8 people which i agreed. Then started another episode of pathetic service. After 5 minutes waiter came to take my order.i ordered 1 fish thali ( Rs 330/-), and asked him a glass of water as I was very thirsty. The waiter took another 10 minutes to bring my thali and till that time i was not offered water. I started eating the thali and the prawn curry was spicy for me . I again requested for water and was ignored again. Then finally i complaint to the manager about not being offered water since last 20 mins. The waiter then came with a glass of water and told me that glass was not available with them hence this delay. What a excuse...... I had lost my appetite till then, was not able to enjoy the food. Finally after finishing my food I asked for the bill and finger bowl .Even for that I waited for more than 5-7 min ( surprisingly considering the fact that there was waiting outside) Eventually i lost my patience , I got up whent directly to the payment counter paid the bill without even washing my hand and left the restaurant in dismay. Team Ritz classic you have excellent reputation for food. Pls don't spoil by offering such service. Coming single for food is not a crime and doesn't deserve such treatment.

I went to this place for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and it was full. It is quite well-known for its seafood. We ate a fresh and well-prepared fish fry. The vegetarian version was also well-cooked. Service was slow, but I can't blame them given how busy the venue was. Non-members may find it a little costly, but gymkhana members receive a 25% discount, so it's a fantastic deal for them.
