Dropped by Swaad Restaurant in Panaji, Goa for lunch, and here's the lowdown: The fish fry was just average in taste, didn't blow me away. Seating capacity is a bit limited, so might want to plan ahead. On the plus side, the owner was super friendly! Prices were budget-friendly too, which is always a win. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual meal, but maybe don't expect anything too fancy.

We had a very disappointing experience here. When we arrived, we were told that the Chonak fish thali was 240 for two. However, after the meal, they charged us double, saying it was actually 240 per thali. This kind of misleading information feels dishonest... The taste of the food was not good at all -- definitely not worth the price. We felt cheated and unsatisfied. There are many better, more honest restaurants around. I'd strongly recommend avoiding this place....
Here we ordered Fish Thali with Chonak Fry, lepo fry and Butter Chicken. The Chonak Fry was crispy and flavorful, and the Butter Chicken was rich and creamy. The cozy ambiance and great service made for a delightful experience. Highly recommended!
I visited Swaad yesterday and ordered the prawn thali. Everything except the rice was cold, and to make it worse, I found a fly in my food. When I pointed it out, all I got was a simple "sorry." Terrible experience!
This spot offers budget-friendly thali options with delightful taste and reasonable portions. The fish fry and curry both stood out. It gets busy during lunch hours, but the Modso thali and Bangda thali were worth the order..you have to walk up staircase to enter this place.
This place serves the best Goan Fish Thali's from Chonak fish thali, Mackerel Fish Thali to Prawns Thali etc. All at an affordable price. We had their Mackerel and Chonak Fish Thali and really enjoyed both, the curry was just amazing. We also had Prawns Rawa Fry, which was so crisp and yumm & ended it with Chicken Dry Fry which is a definite must try, oh and not to forget enjoyed all of it with a chilled beer
Delicious Fish Thalis at reasonable rates. Loved the Bangda Thali. The place is usually crowded, but the service is fast. Worth it.
