Customer Reviews & Testimonials

The mustard fish curry at Jaffna Jump is a true standout. In fact, it rivals some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants I've been to.The sauce is rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices that bring out the natural sweetness of the fish. The fish itself was tender and fresh, absorbing the curry's flavors beautifully. It wasn't overly spicy but had just the right kick. Served with a side of fluffy rice, it was a comforting and satisfying meal. A must-try for seafood lovers! The ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The decor has a rustic charm, with soft lighting and wooden accents that create a cozy atmosphere. Whether you're here for a casual meal or a special occasion, the space feels intimate yet spacious enough for a lively conversation. The soft background music adds to the overall soothing vibe, and the friendly staff makes sure you feel right at home. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a great meal in a laid-back setting.

My new favourite place in town? The Jaffna Jump! Leave all your worries at home and head to the new hot spot in Campal to indulge in absolutely scrumptious Sri Lankan delights! One bite and you'll be taking a trip around Sri Lanka without even realising it! JJ's menu is well crafted with an array of drinks, small plates, large plates and desserts. Everything on the menu is incredible but if I had to select a few that I've tried, they would have to be the Kottu Parotta, Bentota Fried Fish, Plantain Chips and the Bone Marrow Varuval - lip smacking! Four of the curries are coconut based which provides it with a creamy and thick texture which I just couldn't get enough of! The ambience is a 10/10, it has a large seating area upstairs as well as downstairs and both, an A/C as well as a non A/C section. The interiors are wonderful. All the staff are very friendly people. The best part? Chef Lisa, the owner, has personally curated the menu and the dishes. Not only that, she promises to visit you at your table and gives you food recommendations that will hit the spot for you! She is the sweetest soul and if you are a home chef, you're in for some luck - Chef Lisa encourages and promotes home chefs at her restaurant to help them get an exposure. I was fortunate enough to have that opportunity at The Jaffna Jump to sell my Almond Cake and I loved every minute of my time there. I'm not even exaggerating but the minute you'll step into JJ, you'll be tantalising your taste buds with the best food and your self with the best vibes. You absolutely cannot miss out!!

Best Srilankan food I've eaten in a LONG time. Chef Lisa was a wonderful gracious host. She greeted us personally and made sure every member on our table was well looked after. With such an amazing menu, we were confused and she helped order some of the best dishes and pairings. JJ in itself is such a cozy inviting and gorgeous place. Cant wait to go back.

We recently dined at Jaffna Jump and tried several dishes. Here's our feedback: *Highlights:* - Taste of Lanka drink was unique and refreshing - Pepper chicken starter was excellent - Belgium mousse dessert was perfect -baked chilli crabs was exceptional. *Room for Improvement:* - Lisa Devilled beef starter was just okay - Mutton kothu was below expectations - Mutton hopper was a bit sweet, but presentation was good *General Observation:* - We noticed that the non-veg dishes had small and limited meat portions. This might be an area for improvement. - Chef lisa was very energetic while explaining us the menu. Overall, our experience was mixed, but we appreciate the unique flavors and presentation. With some tweaks, Jaffna Jump has the potential to become a top destination for Sri Lankan cuisine. Rating: 3.5/5

I undoubtedly recommend Lisa's devilled spicy beef. This beef dish is a true showstopper. The meat is cooked just right--perfectly tender and flavorful, with each bite offering a wonderful mix of textures. The seasoning is just the right amount to enhance the natural taste of the beef, and the sauce adds a delightful touch of tanginess that makes it stand out. From the moment Bone Marrow Varuval arrives at the table, you know it's going to be something special. Whether you're in the mood for something comforting or want a dish that's a bit more adventurous, this dish hits the mark every time. The restaurant really nails it with this one, and it's sure to become one of my favorite!

I enjoyed the meal. I loved the bone marrow dish. It was so good! Maybe too good it overshadowed the rest of the food I had. I tried Kandy curry next, which was good. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have the bone marrow first But the Kos payasam was just okay. I was hoping to taste the jackfruit in it but couldn't. Being a South Indian as well as someone who has tried the Bengali payesh, I found the payasam here a bit disappointing. Not bad but not great either. The service was good but I did struggle a bit to get the server's attention when I needed something. The owner on the other hand was perhaps too attentive I am introverted so I prefer unobtrusive service. I appreciate her enthusiasm and her attempt at making conversation. But it did make me a bit uncomfortable after a point. Perhaps, if I was a regular I would have enjoyed it. And I guess extroverted people would really enjoy this type of service. This isn't meant as a criticism but more of a feedback. Perhaps, toning the conversation a bit down for more introverted customers might be a good idea..

Such a fabulous and the only Sri Lankan cuisine in all of Goa. Superb location, gorgeous decor, very attentive staff, but most of all let's talk about the food. Because that's the reason you will keep going back over and over again for more of Chef Lisa's delectable creations.. Pillowy soft hoppers and aapams paired with the most finger licking deelish Sri Lankan fish, chicken and pork that we had. We topped it off with some melt in your mouth, yummy Watallapam, Sri Lankan custard pudding. Nothing felt heavy or over spiced. Just the right touch. Definitely going back to sample the rest of the menu and highly recommend to all.

Jaffna jump is different in a way that it quite pleasant. The food had a uniqueness to it. We tried the mutton hopper and cocktail sausages for starters. Both were good. I'd definitely recommend the mutton. For the main course we opted for the mustard fish curry and the beef smoor curry. Both were lovely. Though the mustard one seemed more unique and intense in flavour than the beef one. It comes with some nice accompaniments. For a small eater it was a good portion. Not for someone with a large appetite though. We tried their caramel custard which was chef recommended and have mixed opinions on that one. For me it was a 5. But the jackfruit payasam was lovely and very creatively served. I'd recommend waiting for a bit because it tastes a whole lot better when it's cold. On the whole, I would definitely go back to sample some more items. Oh and a note to mention the lovely waitress. I believe her name was Manisha. She was graceful and had a lovely attending demeanor throughout our meal. Do visit this cute little place not only for the food but for the ambience and service as well. It is easily accessible too.
