Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Viva Carnival, attached to the land of a well known Bicholim minister's (Zantye) brother, proved to be a hidden gem with delicious food and warm service. Though navigating the restaurant might leave you perplexed (unmarked doors resembling theater entrances!), persevere - the friendly staff and satisfying meals are worth the effort. Finding parking near the muddy lane presented the first challenge, but luckily, we snagged a spot and made our way towards the two confusing doors. An empty dining area greeted us, initially accompanied by an unpleasant odor. Thankfully, the friendly staff quickly remedied the situation by switching on the ventilation and air conditioning. (As they keep the left over food outside in restaurant under closed room) While the owner may not be the minister's brother, as we initially inquired, the restaurant still boasts its own charm. The warmth of the Konkani-speaking staff makes you feel instantly welcome, and the menu delivers on its promise of deliciousness. The refreshing Nimbu Soda, a tad watery but with a perfect balance of sweet and salty, was a great start. The Chicken Lolipop with chatni, generously sized and crunchy, surprised us with its complex tandoori masala flavor, hinting at Kolhapuri rassa at some of its bite. The Chicken Chilly, another winner, was a symphony of perfectly cooked chicken and delectable spices. The Kingfish Thali, however, stole the show. The rava-fried kingfish was fresh and juicy, while the prawn curry's mouthwatering heat danced on our taste buds. Each component, from the crabs to godshe, played its part in creating a truly satisfying meal. Kismoor and Chepkichi Bhaji was not that good but okayish. Another thing is they provide Chapati, which is given by very small restaurants in Thali. We were completely filled before we could finish it all. Overall, Viva Carnival is a delightful detour amidst the confusion. While the initial hurdles might test your patience, the warmth of the staff and the delicious food ensure a rewarding experience. Just remember, perseverance is key to unlocking this hidden gem!

Zantye's Viva Carnival Restaurant next to Vishal Mega Mart. Been here 4 times in 6 months. Fish curry rice thalies are good. Their Tandoori chicken is also good.

I recently dined at Viva Carnival, and it was a fantastic experience. The vibrant and festive ambience immediately drew me in, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were consistently attentive to hygiene, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. The menu offered an impressive variety of dishes. Everything I tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether you're in the mood for classic cuisine or something new and exciting, Viva Carnival has you covered. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Visited this location today had a worst experience. We ordered king fish fry plate (2pcs) and the fish slice was unbelievably thin, like a paper. We wished to cancel it since we have visited several restaurants in Goa and never seen this kind of thin slices served. So the manager said king fish is very expensive they pay 1200rs 1 kg this makes things more futile since the literally gave us just 100grams for 500rs . So we ended up canceling the other fish expecting it would disappoint the same. The manager ended up reducing 50rs from the bill. Probably it would be best if they inform in prior that after 3 pm the cannot serve right quantity food. Even if this would be a good place. Probably don't visit after 3pm to 7pm quantity will be less

Amazing ambience with amazing food. Fish thali was just awesome. Meals had varieties of curries, Of course there are plenty of other non-veg preparations (starter to main course) that you can choose from.
