Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Dined at the Regency during a one-day stay at La Paz Beacon Hotel, and overall, had a decent experience. I loved the Malai Chicken and Mutton Rogan Josh that I had for lunch - absolutely spot on! The Corn Fritters were a bit too dough-y for my liking. The naan was ok - could have been crispier and with some butter, since I ordered butter naan. For dinner, I got ordered service - the Club Sandwich was nice. The Fish n Chips wasn't. The dish came with two large slices of kingfish - instead of Basa, which is what I was expecting and what usually is served as Fish n Chips. Maybe the restaurant is better at Indian and Chinese food, not Continental Cuisine, and perhaps it was my mistake for ordering it. I'd have like to try the Chinese food but didn't have time. Breakfast the next morning was nice. Opt for the Uttapam and avoid the milky tea.
This place is literally gone to the dogs...we have been going here for the last many years..and it truly hurts to see such a downfall... We had sweet and sour which had lovely ambience and food..first that got shut down.... Then goodyland gotbshut down under new beacon mgmt...it was a good neighbourhood place for evening snacks...icon i will say...did jot understand the logic of it shutting down... Then the chinese menu in regency vanished...the old staff fired....and yesterday was the last straw...we are officially done with the place.... We order cheese naan...which was ok...the corn kurkuri tika was mediocre.. The chicken tikka was atleast 3 days old....stale, hard and smelly that we had to call the waiter to show him the spit out tikka.... Biryani was bakwas... I guess beacon mgmt has ruined la paz for good...
Guys, I had to say SORRY to my wife literally to bring her here for dinner. Had anyone tasted sweet kadai paneer ?? When they were told that it's sweet, they were humble enough to replace that however the climax arrrives now. They brought the paneer with ultra spices, you could see in picture. It was sucidal to eat that. Overall a pathetic evening at this place. So sorry to bring my family here
This Place can be visited on occasion. Good for those who are in the hotel. Not a restaurant type feeling. But the food served tastes good. Resturant vide missing. It's a Classy place. Over all
Fabulous place to unwind. Very welcoming owners, clean, spacious rooms. Lovely garden, with shade to lie in a hammock. Small lake with abundance of wildlife: 2 resident otters; kingfishers; eagles; herons; egrets; cormorants etc. and other brightly coloured birds. Just grab a chair and watch/ listen - I spent at least 4 hours a day doing this!! No need to go to any special birdwatching sanctuary!!! Bogmalo Beach only 5 mins walk away. Eat with the locals at nearby cafes for R50 - R150 or choose from good selection of beach restaurants. I originally came for 2 days but stayed for 10!! Good to use as a base and get motorbike taxi tours of Old Goa etc. for R800, or car taxis, all can be arranged at Raikar. 4 rooms at moment, with fans for cooling, 6 more, with AC, soon finished building for May 2018.
Nice food. With good service. Ordered Chicken and fish dishes. Their fish fry wasn't so great though. Rest were fine. Not expensive.
One of the worst food experience ever. Do not even try this. Order veg jalfrezi and got cauliflower and carrot in Manchurian gravy. (Sweet gravy with catch). Chapatis are thicker than naan.
Except the soup, all the Chinese dishes served were super delicious! The chicken fried wantons, the Manchurian, fried rice and noodles were on point. Highly recommend this place.
