Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Khushbu Mohota

Mandir is beautiful. We went from Baroda by auto 55km to and fro.Very good farms of banana and tobacco seen. Don't go in summers. One important tip is plz don't buy thakorji or Krishna vastra from dakor outside. It's very expensive and low quality. Better to buy from Baroda side haveli or mathura. The journey is great and temple prasad sold inside at 40 50 rs. Eat outside the dakor gota.

The Ranchhodrai Temple in Dakor, Gujarat, is a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Krishna, known here as Ranchhodrai. Situated near the Gomati Lake, the temple is renowned for its historical significance and spiritual ambiance. Temple Overview Constructed in 1770, the temple showcases a blend of architectural styles, featuring four golden-capped shikharas and seven domes. The main deity, Ranchhodrai, is depicted in the Trivikrama form of Vishnu, holding a discus, conch, lotus, and mace. A unique aspect is the addition of a golden flute in the deity's hand, symbolizing the fusion of Vishnu and Krishna identities While the temple itself is maintained, the surrounding areas could benefit from better cleanliness. Crowd Management: During peak times, especially festivals, the temple can become quite crowded, and there is room for improved crowd control measures. Accessibility: The roads leading to the temple are narrow, which can cause traffic congestion. Despite these concerns, many visitors find the overall experience rewarding and spiritually fulfilling

Very sacred place and witness of what our God does for their devotees. Lord Shrikrishna has shown a path to live life. Stories related to his time always inspire us.

Dakor Temple, located in Gujarat, is a sacred site dedicated to Lord Krishna as Ranchhodraji. It's a must-visit for devotees, known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and spiritual ambiance. However, buses and other large vehicles are not allowed inside, so you'll need to take an auto-rickshaw that will drop you about 150 meters away from the temple. From there, you'll walk to the temple, which adds a peaceful touch to the experience. We had the opportunity to attend the mesmerizing Shayan Aarti, which was an unforgettable spiritual experience. If offered Tulsi by pandits in the temple, you can decide whether to accept it, but make sure to ask for the charges before accepting. once youll receive the tulsi they will take you to tula daan area. Pandits at the temple are quite persuasive--they will often approach you to explain the story behind Tuladaan and encourage you to make a donation. They'll ask for dakshina, and after performing the ritual, they'll suggest adding a little more to receive prasad and a dhwaja (flag). They are so convincing that it can be hard to say no. We did take the prasad and dhwaja, but we genuinely wanted it. Also, photography is not allowed inside the temple, but they have placed few screens around the temple so you can do the darshan so be mindful of that. While the temple surroundings are peaceful, we did notice that the nearby riverbank was quite dirty, making it uncomfortable to walk around that area. Overall, Dakor Temple offers a meaningful spiritual experience, though the cleanliness around the riverbank could be improved. Anx do not forget to eat Dakor's famous Gota (bhajiya) and shop nearby.
