Peshawri by Welcomhotel Vadodara

We visited Peshawari at The Welcome Hotel in Vadodara on 3/27/25. We were visiting from USA and celebrating our 15th Anniversary. Since we have been to The Bukhara at ITC Maurya in New Delhi we were looking forward to dining at this place. The ambience was decent. They sat us at a table of 8 vs 4, which was really weird given the entire place was empty. Then different severs rolled in at different times and placing our appetizers at the far empty end of the table .. super bizarre. The food was below sub par and extremely disappointing. Salty to start with. The food presentation was sloppy and given the reputation of the restaurant it was very surprising how they could let this mess leave the kitchen. The chicken was dry and tasteless, again heavy on the salt... there are other ingredients. The drink order the second time took forever and it arrived after we had paid the check. The famous daal Bukhara was dry, cold and not upto its known standards like the one in Delhi. We know good food and this was a disaster of a meal. Update: 3/28 The Head of Food and Beverage contacted me and inquired to what transpired. He was generous and offered us a visit back with a complimentary meal and we were happy to know he cared and was willing to make things right. Unfortunately we were leaving the following day so we could not go back. I appreciate his thoughtfulness and willingness to make things right. It was much appreciated.

From the moment you step in, you can feel the care and pride that have gone into maintaining its legacy. The service was impeccable, with the staff ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The quality of the food stood out immediately--you can tell everything was prepared fresh and under the highest hygienic standards. The Paneer Khurchan was an absolute highlight, with its rich, vibrant flavors that had us savoring every bite. Paired with the roomali roti, soft and perfectly made, it was a match made in culinary heaven. Another standout was the paneer cooked in the tandoor--it was incredibly delicious, with a smoky, flavor-packed profile that showcased the expertise of the chefs. Peshawri isn't just a meal; it's an experience steeped in tradition and authenticity. Whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time, it's a place that promises and delivers satisfaction with every visit. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates the finer nuances of Indian cuisine!

Peshawari has a great ambience but has a limited choice of cuisine, no rice is served. So we went to its buffet section where all verity was served. Enjoyed our evening.

Excellent food with amazing service. Thanks to Dalbir, soram and Nagesh. Their hospitality is just outstanding. It is a must visit if you are in Vadodara.

Nagesh, Mr. Dalweer and Faraz served me and my family im the most courteous manner with at most care and compassion. I was here to celebrate my mother's birthday and they made this dinner a memorable one for me and my family! Highly recommended for the food, atmosphere and hospitality.

We commemorated a special occasion at this wonderful place. The ambience off course is always top notch. The service very warm and the food just perfect Special mention of the dishes - Dal Bukhara ( the flavour was so good), Tandoori Aloo (personal favourite) and Sikhandar Rann (melts in your mouth). We had the privilege to be served by Dalvir, Manvinder, Nagesh and Puii. My lil one felt right at home and kept complimenting them.
