Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Rohit Adukia

One of the best Indian Chinese food I have had. The Veg Manchurian was perfectly crispy ok the outside and the sauce was amazing. I also tried the veg momos but didn't like it that much. The texture of the momos is very bao like which I didn't like a lot. My friend tried the Tibetan Thali and liked it too. Pro tip; Go to the top floor and find the two tables in the balcony. My favourite spot. You can smoke on the balcony too.

Tibet Kitchen in McLeodganj is a popular spot that lives up to its reputation. Spread across three levels, the cafe offers plenty of seating space--with a cozy little bakery on the ground floor. It's often quite crowded, which is a good sign of its popularity, but do expect a bit of a wait during peak hours. The menu is impressive, offering a diverse range of cuisines including Tibetan, Continental, Chinese, and more. Whether you're in the mood for momos or pasta, there's something for everyone. The Peri Peri Momos are a standout--they're flavorful, spicy, and a must-try! Prices are very reasonable for both the variety and portion size. The only downside is that service tends to be slow, especially if you're seated outside. Still, the laid-back vibe makes the wait tolerable. Conveniently located right at the main square, it's easy to find and worth dropping in for a hearty meal. Great food, good value, and a bustling atmosphere.

This place came highly recommended by our local trek guide for tasting good Tibetan and Burmese cuisine. It is spread over multiple floors and is at the junction of the main market square. We tried the special vegetarian Thupka and their Pad Thai and 3 Treasure Vegetables. The Thupka was very good and the other dishes also tasted very nice. The menu is quite extensive and has options in North Indian, South Indian, Chinese cuisines as well.

The place is very popular, sometimes waiting can be from 10-40 mins, but it's totally worth it. Would recommend to try Tibetan food or local food more than North Indian dishes here. Staff is great too.

Thank god I visited this cafe otherwise I would have missed a big thing.. they are multi storey building and severs authentic Tibetan and Bhutanese dishes.. and it's so reasonable. I love this cafe for the ambiance and food. I would eat everything on menu if I had stayed for 5-7 days just here. The washroom is compact for tall people

Situated at the main Temple Road area, this restaurant serves a variety of Tibetan Dishes along with Indo Chinese and North Indian dishes. Didn't try any Tibet dishes as had a lot of Tibetan food for the past couple of months so I opt for some nice North Indian Food. Tried their Veg Thali which was mind blowing. Great portion for a big eater like myself. Good flavours and every dish was delicious. Tried their Tandoori Chicken, Malai Kofta along with Tandoori Roti which was a great combo. Tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked with great flavours. Malai kofta was amazing too. Good seating and nice ambiance. Few of the staff are little inattentive and not very helpful which I told the owner directly. Overall a good experience and would definitely visit whenever I go to Mcleodganj.

This Tibetan restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, with a menu that's sure to satisfy any craving. I tried the Tibetan thali, fried rice, and pork chilly--everything was delicious! The food is definitely the highlight. However, the staff is rude, service was a bit slow, and the ramen didn't meet expectations. It's a bit on the costly side, but overall, it's a great spot for authentic Tibetan cuisine.

Recently had dinner there and thinking of going back to indulge in more Tibetan food before I leave! There can be a 10-20 min wait but it's very much worth it. We shared the thentuk noodles, cheese & veg Momo's and fried greens (garlicky Bok Choi) and all was excellent. Service was quick for the amount of guests they have and the place is very clean. They have both chair seating or floor seating if you're interested, and the top floor is a better atmosphere than the first floor I found, further away from the street commotion.
