Review for Cafe 1947, Manali The ambience at Cafe 1947 was lovely, and the live music added a great vibe to the evening. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We had ordered pasta with vegetables (which they charge separately for each), but the vegetables were completely missing. When we pointed this out, the waiter insisted they were there--even though it was clearly not the case. He then said the pasta could be cancelled but not replaced. Despite this, the item was added to our bill. When we questioned it, the waiter bluntly said it couldn't be cancelled and we had to pay for it--no apology, no resolution. To make things worse, when we resisted paying for it, they made us wait unnecessarily for 15 minutes. Eventually, frustrated, we went to the counter only to learn they were intentionally delaying us. Lastly, when we asked to pack our leftover pizza, it was done very poorly, as if just to get rid of us. A place with such a great setting deserves better management and staff training. The experience was a letdown, and we hope the cafe improves its service in the future.

I woke up with food poisoning 7 hours after leaving this cafe. It's been 5 days and I'm still in pain. God knows what ingredient was old. Though I won't just mention the bad part. The good part is the location and service. The staff is extremely kind and really pays attention to you and looks out for you. The location is lovely. I wish I didn't fall sick the day I had a 12 hour journey down the hills. So many days later I'm still suffering unfortunately.

The food was just great!! I mean it almost over shadows their cooking time and the fact that they are always out of seating. Well i came here with my partner and loved the food we were literally repeating few of the orders. Here are our few recommendations. -Charcoal burger - Oreo Shake - Alfredo white sauce pasta I hope this helps thanks!

Didn't know it has rooms. Visited the Cafe on a slow Friday evening. Amazing vibe to this place, live singer got everyone in the room singing from their tables, service was fast but getting attention of the rural server was a tricky thing. Enjoyed our and added a few shots of Burbon that added to the fun. Food i hear is unimaginably good and it's one of the must visit places in Manali.

One can sit along the river and enjoy the view with a meal. The beauty of Manali is that the Beas river is visible and accessible from many many places. So that leaves the meal, which is average. To sit at the tables right along the river, your bill should be a minimum of 4000/-. I had lunch and there was no live music at that time

This cafe undoubtedly boasts one of the most beautiful river views, complemented by a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains. The ambiance is truly charming and makes for a lovely spot to relax and unwind. However, I was quite disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, the quality and taste did not meet expectations -- even something as simple as French fries lacked flavor. I would recommend visiting more for the scenic experience rather than for a culinary one. That said, the hot chocolate and coffee are decent options to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views. If you're looking for a cozy place to enjoy a warm drink with an incredible natural setting, this cafe is worth a visit -- just go without high expectations for the food.

I liked the food and service. View from behind the cafe is also beautiful. It is costly but worth it. I think best experience would be if you able to visit while there is live music. Cafe is designed well for that. I visited in the afternoon so I missed that.

Total waste of money! This cafe would justify the saying " Naam bade or Darshan chote" ! Their menu prices are touching the sky & when you look at the quantity, its not even going to satisfy even 1 person!! Talking about the taste- the food is TASTELESS! I have never eaten tasteless white sauce pasta & peri peri chicken ever in my life! Had to add salt from above! There are other cafes that offer a great view & tasty food at the same prices! Go for them and avoid coming and wasting your money here in Cafe1947.
