We were returning from Shimla and took a quick break here with friends for some refreshments. We tried the chai, coffee, and mixed pakoras -- all of which tasted good. The staff was polite and welcoming, which added to the pleasant experience. However, the washrooms were extremely dirty and had a strong odor, which was disappointing. Clean and hygienic restrooms are a basic necessity for travelers, and we sincerely request the management to address this issue. On a positive note, the place does offer wheelchair -accessible parking and entrance, which is commendable.

Located along NH 5 close to Solan, we found a gem during our trip from Chandigarh. This charming spot offers a serene dining experience with two open floors, both providing stunning views of the hills. The ample seating and beautiful ambiance create a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful meal. Despite its beautiful feel, the restaurant is surprisingly affordable, making it an excellent choice for a budget-friendly outing. The menu has a variety of options, including breakfast items, Chinese dishes, Indian main courses, and snacks. We decided to take a quick break and enjoy a small brunch, opting for the classic vegetable Maggi--a must-have in the hills. Although the dish took a bit longer to arrive, it was worth the wait. The taste was delightful and perfectly complemented the breathtaking views from our seats. However, the service was somewhat lacking. The staff was slow to attend to our table, and we had to call them over to place our order. This was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise pleasant experience. Overall, this restaurant is a worthwhile stop on the journey to the hills. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, you'll appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, and stunning views. Update: We visited this place again and had a disappointing experience. The entire restaurant was empty, and there was no waiter in sight. We ordered our usual vegetable Maggi and chai, but what they served was unbelievable--a vegetable Maggi drowned in a paneer gravy, resembling some gravy maggi. After the first taste, I nearly felt so yuck. We immediately brought this to their attention, but they dismissed our concerns, finished our tea, and returned back.

Taran Taaran Family Dhaba offers a delightful dining experience with stunning hill views, delicious food, and a peaceful ambiance. The management ensures a welcoming atmosphere, though service could be quicker. A great stop for a budget-friendly and scenic meal.

Visited today to have breakfast on the way to Oakwood Resort. Paratha was tasty with butter but tea was not good. We had a chance to visit the terrace & it was well decorated & gave a good vibe. Good experience but not that great. Even the washroom was so so.

A nice stop over restaurant on the way to Shimla. The place is neat and well maintained. The staff was courteous and their food quality was good. Prices were genuine. Parking space is available on the other side of the road.

One of the best Dhabas on NH 22/NH 05. I Always stop here when I go to Shimla or come back from there. The dishes are really good especially tandoori paranthas, Dal Makhani, Chole Bhature, Chilli Paneer, Bread Omlette to name a few. Also the dhaba has panoramic view of the shiwaliks of Solan.

Nice, clean and good place for your hungry stomachs. The staff was friendly and food was too good. The place is well located and easy to reach. Would recommend a visit

Terrible spicy and cold paranthas and dirty washrooms. Do not stop by . We had breakfast and were very dissapointed . Good from outside only
