Zaiqa - JKTDC Restaurant

Beautiful place at an equally beautiful location. Due to off season, it opens at around 10 am and closes quite close to 6. People staying at Jktdc huts can order dinner by 8pm though. Menu options are quite limited again due to off season. Very welcoming staff.

I wonder why is this place so less visited inspite of huge rush outside. One of the best place location and in budget restaurant around boulevard. Staff is very polite.

Restaurant is run by J&K tourism. It's located just outside Chesmashahi Mughal gardens and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Decent food options with polite staff. Try their kehwa after your meal!

This restaurant is located bang next to the Chasme Shahi Garden. After taking a stroll at one of the smallest mughal garden we went straight inside because we were famished. We chose to order the safest meal in nonveg which was Chicken biriyani. The Taste of the food was not so good but not so bad also, it was so so. We found the place to be quiet in nature and the atmosphere was also very calm and serene. Being at a very prime location , this restaurant is very less visited by the tourists maybe due to the fancy look from outside. The staffs of this hotel is welcoming and quite hospitable. The location is also very eye catchy. We would definately recommend this place.

They charged us 40 rupees for 4 pieces of dry bread with our 110 rupee omelettes. Don't think I need to say more. The chai was quite good tho, you can have that.

Ordered veg pulao was having stone and chunks of bone in it. Zeera rice was having unbearable amount of salt. Paneer was stale. Dal was stale . Mix veg were stale. Rotis were like Papad. Toilet was dirty like hell. Just put a bite of veg pulao and did vomit in tha plate. Staff saw it and ignored it. Didn't entertain the complaint and were shameless in their attitude. Charged full amount inspite of such stale food. No hygiene. There is not a single point that I should pride it. Staff were utter shameless. This is the service a restaurant by J&K tourism is rendering. This is not service but just cheating customer.

The worst restaurant I have been to in my whole life. Rice has stones, Paneer fried rice had rotten paneer. We could play disc throw with the chapati, it was so hard. Mix veg had uncooked potato. Toilet was dirty and smelled horrible leading me to vomit. There was no water in the toilet and handwash either.

Horrible food,this restaurant should be shut down without delay.we ordered roti,steam rice,jeera rice,veg pulao,Daal and chicken curry.Roti was hard like papad,jeera rice was so salty that we could not eat.veg pulao had rotten vegetables.we were hungry but could eat anything and ended up paying 1200 rs for nothing.Staff was so horrible they did not reduce the bill amount even after serving rotten food.Yo top it up the washroom had not been cleaned in ages.Please do not go to this place at any cost. Wish there was option of giving zero star.
