Gomoh Junction

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Gomoh Junction is a historically significant railway station in Jharkhand. It is well-maintained and serves as an important stop for several major trains. The station is named after the great freedom fighter, as he boarded his legendary escape train from here in 1941. Basic amenities like waiting rooms, food stalls, and clean platforms are available. However, more modernization and better connectivity options would enhance the passenger experience. Also you can get train for Adra Chandrapura Bokaro Dhanbad Ranchi routes.

Gomoh Junction - It's a small junction where two direction/routes are connected. One is towards howrah and other is towards ranchi. Both the routes trains have the stoppage at this Junction. Small clean & well managed station. Mostly all trains have stoppage here.

Gomoh Junction is one of the historic railway stations of India, mostly famous for being the station where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose escaped the clutches of British government. The station has 6 platforms. The stalls present in the station sells only on the printed MRP. The station is clean and tidy with major trains round the clock.

Short stoppage junction. It looked clean and tidy. On his great escape from the British Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose caught the 17 January 1941 Howrah-Kalka Mail, then known as the 63UP Howrah-Peshawar Express, from Gomoh. There is a statue of Netaji between platforms no. 1 & 2 at the Gomoh railway station reminding people of his historic visit. Every year on 23 January, the railway employees and the people of the town organize a small cultural program to celebrate Netaji's birthday. Residents of Gomoh organize an annual week-long fair on the Railway Football Ground starting in 11 March in remembrance of the assassinated labour leader Sadanand Jha. There are two big playgrounds in Gomoh.

Nice junction. Not that crowded station. You can go in all directions from here. This station remains neat and clean. After Corona, very few trains are available from here now.Local trains have become very less. Here the engine of the train is changed to go to the other direction.

Station is not maintained well by the Indian railways. This must be maintained highly because it holds the name of Neta Ji. I am very optimistic from Indian Railways to look after this place which has very high values.
