Bandipura Forest

Forest road is well maintained. But there is entry fee charged from both the ends [ 20 rs for car ] best to practice the issued guidelines of not slowing down or stopping when animals are spotted. Since this road is prone to animal crossing, would be better to exercise caution especially on certain sections of the road where there are curves.

If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive tiger or leopard . These big cats are elusive but can be seen with careful observation and a bit of luck. The park also boasts a variety of other animals, including deer , monkeys , and various bird species. After a certain time, vehicles are no longer allowed in the park, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed environment for the wildlife. This also provides a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk or trek through the forest.

Adventures journey with friends... We went there early in the morning . Spotted So many elephants , deers, Monkeys, Peacock and finally Cheettah... When we spot cheetah , immediately she went inside d forest... Don't ever stop your vehicle while transiting here... 10am to 6am they don't allow any vehicle here...

Once we crossed into Karnataka from Muthanga, the experience got even wilder. The roads were beautifully laid out with dense forest on both sides, and the cool forest breeze added to the vibe. Most of our exciting wildlife sightings happened here -- including a black bear right near the road! But that moment also brought us trouble. We briefly stopped the car (didn't get out!) to take a photo, and a forest guard pulled us over. He was strict, and after a tense talk, we were fined 500 unofficially. Also, we noticed a lot of heavy vehicles like Ashok Leyland and BharatBenz trucks using this route, which probably disturbs the wildlife. It would be great if such traffic could be redirected through an alternate route so that the animals can have a more peaceful environment and tourists can have a better chance of spotting them in their natural habitat , there are many speed bumps in this road that makes the trucks to stop and accelerate with the load that causes more pollution, these pollution makes these wild animals staying away from the road .

Driving through this route is a therapy. Beautiful during monsoon with lush greenery. Can spot a lot of wild animals as well.

Roads to Ooty via Bandipur is very nice Go slowly to experience the forest,keep your camera or the mobile camera ready to capture the animals in the camera.DONT EVER STOP OR GETOUT OF VEHICLE

Loved to have a road trip through bandipur forest everytime. Deers, Antilopes, Elephants and even tigers (if lucky )can be spotted in the journey between bandipur and gudallur. But follow the rules and regulations in mandatory during the travel.
