Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I recently visited this vegetarian hotel. Although it has a clean and neat atmosphere, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food quality was below average -- it lacked flavor. Despite the high prices, the taste and portion sizes didn't justify the cost. On a positive note, they do offer free car parking, which is convenient. However, based on the food alone, I wouldn't recommend this place unless they make significant improvements.
Rava dosa. As mentioned it was less oil and roasted.Taste was average. Service was good. The bathroom was good. Spacious seating and parking. Yet to try their other food items.
Sri Krishna Cafe is one of the 8 branches that the owners have at Bangalore and Other places and Bannikuppe branch is on the Madikeri Mysore Highway. Patronised basically by tourists and commuters traversing along this route, this is a nice set up managed by the Owners from Kundapur, South Canara, with over a decade experience in similar lines. We took south indian thali and butter milk on a hot and sunny Sunday. Thali had a spread of poori Sagu, Portion of rice, sambar and rasam, mini papad, chutney and pickles. The rice was served in a small covered bowl to ensure that the temperature was maintained which is very thoughtful. The spread was very good and the place was very crowded. You have a variety of items in the menu and Dosa items are also served during lunch time.
I stumbled upon Sri Krishna Cafe near Hunsur, and it was a delightful surprise! This quaint cafe serves delicious South Indian cuisine with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our needs were met. The food was fresh, hot, and expertly prepared
After an amazing trip to Udupi and Mangalore, we stopped at Sri Krishna Cafe for dinner, and it was the perfect way to end our journey. The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The ambience was excellent, with a clean and well-maintained setup that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. One of the best parts was the ample parking space, making it hassle-free for travelers like us. The overall atmosphere had great vibes, with a peaceful and welcoming environment that added to the charm of the place. They also have clean and well-maintained washroom facilities, which is a big plus for those on a long journey. If you're traveling on this route(Mangalore-Mysore) , Sri Krishna Cafe is a must-visit for good food and a relaxing experience. Highly recommended.
We made a quick pit stop during road trip, and the experience was a mixed bag. The dhai poori and idly were delicious, but the Vadas were lukewarm. The coffee, however, was just right. While the snacks were decent, the washroom left much to be desired - a reflection of the cafe's remote, adventurous location. If you're passing by, this spot is worth a breather, but it's not a must-visit. One thing to note: when we visited in the evening, many menu items were unavailable, which was a bit of a letdown.
Sri Krishna Cafe in Hunsur, Karnataka is a must-visit vegetarian restaurant for travelers and locals alike. There's plenty of parking space, which makes it ideal for families, especially those on a road trip or stopping for a quick highway break. The ambience is peaceful and family-friendly, and the washrooms are clean and hygienic, which is a big plus when you're on the move. We tried their pav bhaji, tea, and filter coffee - every item was served fresh, and the flavors were absolutely mouth-watering. The pav bhaji was especially tasty, perfectly spiced and satisfying. The South Indian coffee was aromatic and strong, just the way it should be. This place is also kid-friendly, with a calm setting and plenty of space. Whether you're looking for a pure veg restaurant, a clean stop on your Mysore-Coorg route, or just a delicious meal in Hunsur, Sri Krishna Cafe is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for a quick stop or a relaxed meal! Rating: (4.5/5)
Leaving Bengaluru early in the morning towards Coorg or North Kerala, this place is a very convenient location for breakfast; one doesn't have to break the flow on the expressway!! Being not very old, it is maintained very well, plenty of car parking space, good service. Toilets are reasonably clean. Food is average plus, dosa had too much oil, idli-sambar average. Overall, a nice eatery on the highway.
