Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Amar Bhargav

Idli and vade taste is very good, even chutney. However, be ready to stand in queue for hours. For new commers: First collect the tokens. We visited on Sunday morning around 8:30 AM.

Kiran Lokande

Shivappa Idli Hotel near Pandavapura is a hidden gem for breakfast lovers. The idlis are hot, fluffy, and melt in your mouth, perfectly complemented by a flavorful chutney made with coconut and kadle (gram). The best time to visit is between 7:30 - 9:00 AM, as it gets quite crowded later. Thankfully, they follow a token system, so it's first come, first serve. After this satisfying and heavy breakfast, head out for a trek to Kunti Betta - it's a beautiful experience. Just a 50-minute early morning drive from Mysore makes it an ideal start to an adventurous day.

Pratik Chandak

Slightly underwhelming. Good but not a place you want to go out of your way to eat at. I found the idli to be a 3.5/5 and the chutney that felt too "raw"/kachchi.

Hot & soft Idly with spicy chuttney on top butter, best combo. But waiting time is more. Very cost 1 plate for 8 idly 50 & 12 idly 70/- Taste wise super but waiting time need to mange.

Girish Kv

Idly's are soft, chutney is a bit spicy served with butter. Vada is too hard not recommended. For 8 idly 50rs they will charge. The only thing is you have to pay and take a token first and then you have to wait more time to have idli. Here they serve only idly, coffee and tea. Overall recommended to try once.

Overhyped and Underwhelming - A Disappointing Pit Stop Yet another food joint that rides high purely on hype and FOMO. I stopped by expecting a great breakfast, but walked away utterly disappointed. The idli was nothing short of a disaster, lacking both taste and the soft, fluffy texture you'd expect. Instead, it was mudde-mudde (lumpy and dense) and didn't remotely feel like the idli we all know and love. To make things worse, there was a massive queue - all for this underwhelming experience. The only saving grace? The uddina vade, which was actually good. But let's be honest, a decent vade isn't enough reason to stop here. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. It feels like people are either too caught up in the hype or just don't want to admit the idlis are bad. If you've truly tasted a good idli, you'll know this isn't it. Save your time - and your appetite - for better options.

Globe Trotter

Idli is soft served piping hot. But waiting time is too much. Vada is hard and not recommended. But costs only 4 for 20rs. Chutney is spicy and nothing special. Very very cost effective. 12 idlis RS 70 including one dollop of butter and chutney. Good beverages like tea coffee horlicks boost available next door. Place can be better managed. Overall overhyped. Wonder it is worth so much waiting time,

Thaja Street food

The Soft idli and spicy chutney with home made butter combination is the highlight here. Don't miss it if you are around pandava pura or sri Ranganattana
