Kamat Veg Restaurant Davanagere

During my recent visit to Kamat Veg Restaurant in Davanagere, located at D.No.406, BHOOMIKA NAGAR, NH 4 BY PASS, P-1A1, beside T V STATION, Davanagere, Karnataka, one of the notable aspects was the ample parking space provided for four-wheelers. The presence of a diligent security guard enhanced the overall sense of safety, while the efficient and friendly service from the staff and suppliers ensured quick delivery of orders. The cleanliness of the washrooms added to the comfort of the dining experience. The cuisine, though not overly spicy, was delightful in taste. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the chutney which was unpleasantly stale and lacked flavor. Despite bringing this to their attention, the same chutney was served again. The coffee, priced at 35 INR, was a highlight with its excellent taste and steaming hot temperature. The Davanagere benne dose, priced at 80 INR, stood out for its soft and delicious texture. The set dosa was equally pleasing, offering a spongy and flavorful bite at the same price point. For those craving variety, the onion uttappa, paired with koorma and chutney and priced at 95 INR, was a satisfying choice. The girmit, at 65 INR, provided a tasty and crispy snack option. The pavbhaji, priced at 125 INR, impressed with its flavorful and mild taste profile. Additionally, the chilli bajji, available at 50 INR for two pieces, offered a mildly spicy yet enjoyable snacking option. In conclusion, my dining experience at Kamat Veg Restaurant in Davanagere was largely positive, although the letdown was the subpar chutney that failed to meet expectations.

Very neat and clean restaurant. Good food and reasonable prices. Will recommend. Clean washrooms. Could not ask for more.

Benne dosa and open butter dosa was really tasty. Seving staff looked calm and happy, Anjali served us smilingly. Only negative point for us was plastic plates used for serving hot food items.

Very good halt on the highway. Staff were courteous, calm and smiling. Food was really really good. Benne Dose, Bonda Soup and their buttermilk were among the best I've had in a long time. Clean washrooms, ample parking, great attitude of staff. I will definitely halt here again !

Kamat Restaurant on Davengere Main Road is a great place for a quick refresh, thanks to its clean washrooms and good selection of tea, coffee, and juices. We also tried GIRMIT CHAAT for the first time, and it was truly enjoyable.

Nice and good hotel at Davanagere. It is on the highway near Davanagere city. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Food items are tasty. Service is also good. Very specious parking . overall it is a good hotel ..

Big bright lights and great ambiance attract you to an atrocious service. Barely any items available in the evening, dinner only after 8pm, and super slow service. The employees act like zombies who don't comprehend questions quickly and reply like they are in a daze.

The service was extremely disappointing. Despite being told that the Davanagere Benne dosa was a specialty, it took 30 minutes to be served. When I requested the thick chutney typically served with Davanagere benne dosa, I was given a watery, tasteless version, please refer the photo, completely lacking the quality found at other Davanagere benne dosa establishments. The staff claimed it was their standard offering, no courtesy to call out before ordering the food, showing little regard for customer satisfaction.
