Maiyas Restaurants

Maiyas at Airport offers a typical South Indian menu, but the experience was somewhat underwhelming. The bonda was the highlight--crispy on the outside and soft inside, with good flavor. However, the pudi masala dosa was just average; the pudi (spice powder) lacked the punch, and the dosa could have been crispier and more flavorful. The overall taste was okay but not memorable, and given the pricing, it felt overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. While airport food is generally expensive, I expected better value. If you're looking for a quick South Indian meal, it's a convenient option, but don't set your expectations too high.

I love South Indian food, but this place was a huge letdown. The flavors were completely off..Rava idli was too dry, the Pongal bland the chutneys lacked freshness, and the sambar tasted like it had been sitting out for hours(bdw got watery one with not a piece of vegetable). To make things worse, the service was just as bad. The staff seemed disinterested, took forever to take our order, and barely checked on us. When we asked for something, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Definitely not worth the visit.I wouldn't bother coming back here.

Okay Restaurant in Airport. Filter Coffee was good in taste served in combo. Masala Dosa has small potato vegetables compared to the size of Dosa. Ambiance can be better and cleanliness should improve. No place to charge your mobile / laptop. Service is quick & friendly.

Very good restaurant with a very good variety of traditional karnataka cuisines. Very good dosa and idli with sambhar and chutney. Filter coffee at the end was also a cherry on the cake and very resonable pricing point not for individuals but couples or more for sure.

Good place to have Indian food. Got combo of pudi masala, vada & pongal with coffee but I got regular masala dosa, cold idly (as vada was not available) & hot pongal with good coffee. Food was delicious but I agree with several reviews below, service is pathetic. The waiter doesn't even take the order properly & gives incorrect order. Once the food is given, he'll never check on you unless you call him. Payment via card does work but he says it doesn't & asks for cash so that he can get some tip! Not a good thing for Maiyas for sure unless they change their service management.

Staffs are eating in the corner at 11:41am not taking orders and unresponsive, the 2 older lady waiters are not interested at all to take orders when I gestured to take order ! Pathetic service and attitude ! Told us to come to them to pay via upi cause they aren't bothered to bring the machine to us ! Food was stale and cold the sambar had no veggies at all and was salty and the potato in the dosa was cold ! Disappointed from every aspect !

Idli's are probably kept in freezer... edges got hard. Kesari bath was excellent. Kharabhat was just okay. Bisibelebath was also good.

Maiyas Restaurant at Bangalore T2 Airport, once associated with a legacy of authentic flavors, sadly falls far short of expectations when it comes to service. The experience was marred by an unacceptably slow response time from the staff. Even for the simplest of requests, one must repeatedly call out to the waiters, who seem either uninterested or overwhelmed. Such negligence tarnishes the reputation of a brand that should ideally symbolize excellence and efficiency. The lack of attentiveness not only disrupts the dining experience but also reflects poorly on the management's oversight. To salvage its standing, Maiyas must urgently rethink its hiring practices and employ staff who align with the ethos of quality and hospitality. Until significant improvements are made, I would strongly advise travelers to seek better dining options within the airport.
