Mukhtar Restaurant gundlupet

Mukhtar Hotel is our go-to lunch stop whenever we're heading to Bandipur or Wayanad. Their theetar (quail) is incredibly tasty, and the mutton biriyani is an absolute must-try -- flavorful and satisfying. The place serves up hearty, no-frills meals that hit the spot every time. Tasteless biryani . Uncooked rubbery mutton. Dont know why people flock for such below average biryani..

Good biriyani rice and chicken kebab. But due to the shop being local they were not able to understand us properly during ordering and missed giving us salads. The quality of food was good though.

All I took was Kerala Parata from this restaurant as a parcel and ate it roughly after 40 min. It tasted pretty good. The gravy they gave along with that was Mutton Curry and Brinjal Curry. Both went very well with Parata. Would visit again to eat at restaurant. A Small Request: We are responsible for our actions. Let's be mindful of all our actions. Kids observe and pick the wrong stuff quickly from elders.

This hotel is famous for special items. So visit only if you want to try those special items. I can't tell openly what those items are but they are sourced from the nearby forest area. For example you will get wild quail unlike the farm quail that you get anywhere else.

Cheap in price, good tast... little bite slow service.. so rate 4 star
