Ethnic Food Cafe

The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and perfect seasoning. The service was warm and attentive, making the dining experience truly enjoyable.

Excellent meals and onion pakodas. Ethnic, home made and healthy food. Meals include Jowar roti, millets khichdi and millets curd rice. Also do try the holige (puran poli) served with desi ghee. Place also offers millets and several other local and organic products. Must visit. There aren't many food options on this stretch of the road either.

Driving down from Hyderabad to Gokarna, struggling with hunger pangs and unable to find a decent place that was open and serving! Lo and behold, our prayers seem to have been answered. A few kilometres before Hubbali, we see the sign board of this restaurant right besides the ICAR science institute. It serves everything Millet, has a menu providing snacks, tea and meals/thali. The staff were very cordial, helpful and service oriented. Clean place, clean restrooms and great food. We ordered a milet masala dosa, millet thali and jaggery tea. Took the staff about 10 mins to prepare and serve, but the taste of each item was outstanding. They also sell raw Millets, pickles etc. We ended up buying a few of these things as well. The food bill was about 300/- and the additional purchases, another 300/-. Overall had a great experience. Definitely a restaurant to visit again.

Authentic North Karnataka Thali is served here. Food was good, place was neat and clean. They also sell organically grown millet and other thing like pickles and masala powders. We bought Shenga chutney pudi which was quite tasty.

A millet food experience and probably only decent option enroute. They serve south indian tiffins, meals, tea and other groceries. Very neatly maintained and even kitchen is well kept. They allowed us into their kitchen and also agreed us to customise our way. Only limitation is language, staff knows Kannada and very little bit of Hindi. So anything out of the menu or you ask a query, it gets difficult. I hope knowing any other basic language like Hindi or English would make it even better. Otherwise, must try.

Excellent food. Best place to enjoy genuine local food. Very healthy and hygienic.

Got all the millet options. Thali was very yummy. Millets and home made foods and food products are available. Spacious. Generous staff.
