Very spacious restaurant near Bellur cross. Food is very good. Stays crowded during weekends or holidays. Masala dose, idli tastes best. Bisibele bath was average. A small snacks and MTR packed items shopping counter is available. Got very good parking space with EV charging unit too. Washrooms available. A good place to eat, rest and charge too.

A Delightful South Indian Culinary Experience at MTR - Hasan Road During our recent family trip to Chikmagaluru, we had the pleasure of visiting the MTR outlet on Hasan Road, and it turned out to be a hidden gem! MTR is already well-known for its legendary Dosa, and it absolutely lived up to the hype--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly made. The menu is limited, but every item is crafted to perfection. Morning Breakfast: We tried the Mini Breakfast, which included Idli, Vada, Dosa, Upma, Kesari Bath, and Coffee - a wholesome, satisfying start to the day. All the South Indian classics are available in the morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. Lunch: They offer only two Thali options for lunch - no North Indian dishes - but both are authentic and fulfilling. Evening & Dinner: Expect a return to South Indian favorites like Akki Rotti, Ragi Rotti, Dosa, Savige Bath, and more. Ideal for anyone who loves traditional Karnataka cuisine. Facilities: A big plus is the spacious parking area and electric car charging points - very thoughtful and convenient for travelers. Though it's about an hour's drive from Nelamangala, it's totally worth the visit if you're a fan of classic South Indian food in a clean, well-maintained setting. Highly recommended for families and food lovers looking for a calm stopover with quality food and great amenities.

The restaurants on this highway are very crowded normally during the public holidays. We visited the restaurant on one such holiday. There's ample parking space for vehicles. We somehow managed to get a table and ordered masala dosa, bisi bele bath, jamoon, mini idli, vada and coffee. The dosa and bath were good. The vada was very crispy and was the best. The masala dosa served in the classic MTR style with a small cup of ghee. Unlike other restaurants which use red chutney on the inside, they use green chutney which makes the taste different. Button Idli was not the best. The jamoon was very soft and the taste was something to debate. The coffee was dissapointing and can be skipped. Did not taste like a filter coffee. Service was not that good as we had to keep reminding the waiter of our order.

Super crispy and cute dose! There's alreasy so much of ghee inside the dose but still they provide extra ghee if someone wants to add on the top. The filter coffee was disappointing Tasted like the coffee from CCD machines.

An experience resembling the heritage of MTR, the food was top notch, Sambhar was too good, medhu vada was crispy & not oily at all. Poori was yummy. Overall liked the food. Usually on a highway getting good food is a challenge but MTR has retained their standars, quality & taste. The place was hygiene & cleanliness overall, washrooms were clean as well.

The restaurant was empty when we visited and food taste was apparently average. Taste wise appeared to be average eventhough it has all the facilities. This is not the MTR food taste. So not highly recommended. Whenever other places are crowded, you can try this once. They charge high price on special meals and it is not unlimited. There is not much price difference between mini meals and full meals. Overall, it is considered to be okay, but not great.

Amazing food , we tried plain dosa , masala dosa and thatte idli along with filter coffee. The sambar and chutney are delicious. Filter coffee was really strong and that is what I needed in my breakfast. Extra desi ghee with dosa and idli seems to be usp of MTR. We enjoyed our breakfast here

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about visiting this place, as my previous experiences with other MTR outlets were disappointing in terms of taste and quality. However, a friend insisted I give this one a try -- and I'm glad I did! Tried the Bisibele Bath and Masala Dosa. The Bisibele Bath had a comforting, homely taste, while the Masala Dosa was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. To top it off, the filter coffee was just right -- rich and aromatic. The place offers ample parking space and has well-maintained washrooms, making it a convenient stop for travelers. It's definitely worth visiting!
