Nagvekar's Restaurant

Was looking for local fish meals restaurants, but this one is Expensive compared to the local restuarants serves sea food. Bangda Tawa fry was just okay but the rawa fry dishes (prawns and bangada) spoilt the entire experience. Hard rawa coating and the fish tasted row. Mostly focused on touristy crowd.

We googled top fish restaurants in Honnavar and came across Nagvekar's Fishland hotel. As a tourist we had no choice but to take a chance. But believe me it was the best decision we had. The food was so delicious. Each n every food item was awesome. Pomfret tava fry was too good. The Crab ghee roast was heaven. I never had such a good crab dish before and will never have. Prawns masala and prawns chili were great in taste. All fish are fresh and nicely prepared. Before coming to this hotel we went to Greenpark Riverside Hotel..The pomfret costs 1500 rs. which was too much costly..so we left the hotel and went to Nagvekar's Fishland. Here rates are very reasonable and pocket friendly. God saved us. We are planning to go again the next day in the afternoon for lunch. If you are in Honnavar I insist you to have food at Nagvekar's Fishland.

We had a great meal the fish thali was amazing. All the prawn dishes were really good. The fish curry was delicious(from the thali). The ambience was cool. Overall it was a 5/5 experience.

I had the fish thali and prawns the food was good, just decent enough to consume. We visited this place because it has the highest rating compared to other nearby restaurants. However, I feel the rating is a bit overrated. Prices are on the higher side, so it's better to ask before ordering, especially for seafood. People often assume seafood is cheaper in coastal areas, but here the prices are almost on par with good restaurants in cities like Bangalore. The place is also quite small and congested not very comfortable for dining. Overall, there are other restaurants nearby that offer better food at more reasonable prices.

Honnavars best place for lunch and dinner .. Restaurants Speciality is Non Veg Food famous for fish dishes....taste was too good ...we tasted vegitarian dishes that was too good...Owner Also co operated and polite...we went at afternoon closing time but after request to owner he has served good food for us... Please Try to go there...and taste good food...

The seafood here is of amazing quality and very reasonably priced. Tried their seafood thali, which was excellent value for money--the taste was fantastic. The fish, prawns, and crab were super fresh and cooked to perfection. Also had the king fish masala fry, which was very good. Don't miss their ginger kokum soda; it was incredibly refreshing, especially in the humid weather of Honnavara. Vegetarian options like jeera rice with dal tadka was also tasty. There could be a wait time as seating is limited and it's mostly crowded.

Had sea food thali. Fish , crab and prawns are very nice and tasty. U can get extra rice if you want. Fish gravy is not Upto the mark. Overall nice place to try sea food
