Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this so-called Kerala-style restaurant. Unfortunately, I took a chance and decided to dine here, but it turned out to be a big mistake. To begin with, the service was poor and handled by unprofessional staff who seemed disinterested and lacked basic hospitality skills. The wait time was unusually long, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was far from satisfactory. The ghee rice, which is supposed to be fragrant and warm, was served cold and tasted stale, as if it had been prepared long before and simply reheated. The chicken dishes were well below average, lacking both freshness and authentic flavors. The seasoning seemed off, and the texture of the meat raised concerns about its quality. Adding to the disappointment, the restaurant felt incredibly congested. It was clear that they had squeezed in as many tables as possible, leaving little space for comfortable movement. This not only made the dining experience uncomfortable but also raised hygiene concerns, as the place did not seem well-maintained. Overall, the combination of unhygienic food, poor service, and an overcrowded setup made this visit an unpleasant one. I regret choosing this place and would not recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic or enjoyable Kerala dining experience.
For a kerala restaurant serving authentic kerala delicacies this place is an absolute delight!! Coming from mumbai to taste such authentic dishes is an absolute dreamy indulgence!! And the biggest surprise comes at the end when the bill comes ..one will literally misbelieve that they have been billed correct...been there couple of times at peak hours of lunch n dinner and both times it was jam packed...a true validation of food quality and apt pricing!! Looking around realized that the cuisine attracts folks across financial backgrounds. The beef delicacies are to die for coupled with flaky parottas...the mild yet subtle use of spices and distinct flavors why plates get polished within minutes..time for the owners to create an ac enclosure which will add to the charm am certain!!! But who am i to point out that lacuna when the food speaks on behalf of the Numbers!! BAZINGAA IS WHAT IS SAY AFTER A MEAL HERE...
Right behind Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru. They have a wide variety of Kerala dishes and all are very tasty. Price is pretty affordable. Service is quick and efficient. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and thoughtful service, I would highly recommend this place for kerala style food !
I Visited Cochin Village Restaurant again, and honestly, they never disappoint. Every single day, their service is top-notch - the staff is super attentive and genuinely care about what you need. The variety of non-veg dishes is just amazing, and everything tastes delicious and authentic. What surprises me the most is how they manage such a huge crowd so smoothly - it's always packed, yet the service and food quality stay consistently great. Hats off to the team! Definitely one of my go-to spots.
This place is our regular spot, totally worth the money! Always packed with people, which shows how good it is. One of the best Kerala restaurants in Mangalore, and also my go-to place for evening chai.
Best beef fry in manglore . Food is so good.
Good food with very reasonable prices. The ambiance is average, but overall a satisfying experience for the value.
