Coral

I wasn't expecting anything when I got takeout from the hotel restaurant at 11:00 p.m. but I ended up having my favorite dish of my India trip at Coral. We ended up coming back 2 days later for Valentine's Day dinner. This restaurant is amazing and I will be dreaming about the food for a while. I must first give a huge shout out to the Andhra chili chicken. I got it twice and both times it looked and tasted quite different but both times the flavor was just out of this world with amazing spices, savoriness, and addictively spicy green chilis. The chicken is super tender and juicy as well. I will be chasing this flavor! We also got a shrimp dish that was excellent -- huge and tender prawns and delicious sauce. Definitely the best prawns we had in Mangalore. I also liked the chewy garlic naan and the appam. The service is great and the food is amazing! I wish I could eat here every day.

Elegant decor, excellent staff and service. We had live music by two talented musicians who sang "Na kajre ki dhaar" and "madhosh dil ki dhadkan" as we had dinner, the best you could get, not too loud and the song selection ideal for a nice evening. The food was outstanding. We had seafood thali along with mutton ghee roast for lunch, and returned for a delicious broccoli and crab soup. The place is full all the time, and the crowd is friendly, lively and enjoy conversation.

Biryani was out of the world, chicken steak was not that great. Prices are reasonable and ambience is also good. It's on the first floor of ocean pearl building. I had been along with my in laws on their anniversary and even my engagement was in the same place. Staffs are very courteous.

Breakfast at Coral is always amazing! Whether it's the delicious coffee, crispy uzhunuvada, or soft manglore buns, it's always the best. The service here is top-notch and the ambiance is wonderful. I just love coming here!

The food is generally standard but today we were served the most boring biriyani ( just boiled rice and chicken) that was so dry and hard to eat, might be the worst biriyani I have ever had. The starters were good and the desert was good, I would have given it a four star but didn't like the live music at all.

Wonderful dine restaurant in Mangalore. It's a multi-cuisine restaurant famous for seafood. Valet parking is Available and the star rated Hotel Ocean Pearl.

The rating is only for ambience and location. The food was below average. We ordered chicken ghee roast, Kane masala fry, king fish fry and neer dosa. Only the ghee roast was ok. Fish itself was fresh, but the masala used for fry was tasteless and the cost was high! Being located in ocean pearl, I expected good food!

We visited last month. We tried their seafood thali. Food taste is average (earlier 2018 to 2019) their food taste was really good). Staff and service is good. Ambience is good. Overall good.
