New Tajmahal Cafe Private Ltd

The food is pretty good especially their ragi idly, but the waiters are in such a rush, even when there are not so many customers they don't have time to take the food order in patience. I feel the restaurant next door Ayodhya is good for outsiders as the waiters have more patience. Their restaurant near the central railway station is however really good.

This is an older hotel, and I initially expected the food to be good, but it turned out to be the opposite. We tried the coffee, but it lacked flavor and was mostly watery. The Mangalore bun was okay, but nothing exceptional. The ambience was quite loud and noisy due to the heavy crowd. Cleanliness: They are maintaining it to some extent. Parking: Ample parking space is available. Location: Conveniently situated in the heart of the city. Overall, my first visit did not meet expectations.

Such a yummy and homely breakfast spot... Don't miss their MANGLORE BUNS have it with Tove Dal ( Plain without tadka Tuver Dal) Filter coffee is also nice. They don't have any menu, so when you enter... Kindly Google their items and rates before visiting.

Mixed feelings at the New Taj Mahal Cafe. The service is awesome and deserves 5/5. We probably got their best waiter and he was super attentive. The food was a mixed bag and scored 4/5. The Bread Usli and Mangalore buns were 5/5. Goli Bajji was 4/5 but Vada Sambar was 2/5. The place was nice with full AC but a tad messy so 4/5. Must go when in Mangalore.

I am Greatful to the owners of this place as they refunded my amount after a wrong transaction on my part! Kudos to these guys who have solid ethics which I have not experienced on my 2024 trip to India. I reached here after they were closed but they still took the time to listen to me and refund my amount! Wow to their parents as well for bringing up such ethical men..in anycase I feel the food though not to my taste addresses value to a large set of folks in mangalore and the atmosphere brings back my college days back to me.. the old rustic side of mangalore! Keep up the great service!

Tried Poori bhaji, Kadle bajil and Tea. Poori bhaji was good but not worth 100. Kadle bajil and Tea was upto the mark. Didn't enjoy masala dosa that much and the sambaar provided with it wasn't that good. But tea is just perfectly prepared

This place is hyped for no reason, I tried kottige, a Mangalorean breakfast, it was an average breakfast, tea was too sweet, chutney had little more salt than required. You have enough options for breakfast . i had lunch a few months ago it was much better.

Nice place to have snacks and tiffin. Their dose, mangalore buns, jackfruit bajji, biscuit rotti, patrode were decent. Seating is comfortable and you can enjoy good mangalore style food items here.
