The only items that were was just ok were masala paapad and masala peanut. The kabab fry was only bones and all maida corn flour, the lollypop was tasteless, rasam mediocre, malai kabab was sweet!!!. The only thing that was good was the service with friendly and courteous staff. Nothing that stands out apart from fact that this restaurant is located within the famed Jewel Rock compound.
Jewel rock. We sat in the AC Deluxe dining room, the weather was hot & sultry outside. The AC system was very poor, maybe it was installed 30 years back when Jewel Rock hotel first started.
I was here twice or more and every time that eats my taste buds satisfied. be it veg or non-Veg life is delicious and spicy just as I like it. there are separate sections for bar and restaurant, in this. away both can enjoy themselves. yes, this is one of the good hotels in shimoga. eating here is little expensive and not this bag friendly though, but it is worth for the money we pay. We were group of friends we asked them for family section but they said without any girl in group you can't enter family section so we were forced to sit in bar section. Starters - In Starters, we ordered Masala Papad and chicken tandoori. Mains - in mains we ordered chicken handi and roti basket. Also, i ordered a Mocktail . . Note -- This Restaurant is inside Jewel Rock Complex hidden behind the building.
Big restaurant, has different sections, family, normal, bar. Very suitable atmosphere as per the section, if you going with family, please go to the family section or deluxe section, if you are going with friends go to the casual/bar section. Stuff behavior is good, food is very good and reasonable price. Exact location is under the Jewel Rock Hotel.
It has to be the best restaurant to go to while you're in Shimoga .... The spice, the variety is 10/10... the chicken velvet soup is my favourite of all
Peaceful Restaurant at the Heart of the Shimoga City with North and South India Dishes. Family Seating area is well spaced and the Ambience is good. Service is Quick and the Hotel Staff respond well to all your queries. part of jewel Rock Hotel chain, Enough parking in the hotel premises.
Came here for lunch. The prawn pepper fry was good. The biryani could have used a bit of salt. The items on the menu, however were a bit pricey. The service was quick and the staff were cordial.
Everytime I visit this restaurant only for their delicious hot rasam. No one in the town makes rasam as tasty as they do. Food is always good here.
