Our proud Surapura Palace is the birthplace of Sri Nalvadi Raja Venkatappa Nayaka, the leader of the First War of Independence in 1857.
Well maintained beautiful palace of Raja Nalwadi Ventakappa Nayaka, the young freedom fighter of Surapura Aasthana, was at the forefront of the fight against the British. Venkatappa Nayaka was crowned king of independent Surapura state at the age of 23 years. He was one of the heroes of the uprising of 1857 against the British.

It's my hometown. I grew up here. I spent my childhood here, so many loving memories to cherish.

Shorapur (Surapura, surpur). It's Hilly civilization, This City have his own history.& this is city from 18th century, Nice place.
Guys itz open for public only on monday, i got there on Saturday didn't get a chance to get inside. Just plan before you go there and see the place btw people there, are friendly though
Surapura palace has 200 years of history where the war of indian independence was take place at that time the palace is owned by nalvadi raja venkatappa nayaka... Gaddipidda nayaka mondagai venkatappa nayaka and some other kings.. It situated at near darbar currently currently raja krishnappa nayaka is king here and ruling shorapura
