Basveshwara Khanavali

I had went solo for the trip to Sirsi n visited this hotel, the owner n the caretaker were too hospitable n warm in treating. They did not make me feel like I am alone, served good food with typical lingayat style taste.

Fantastic lunch at Sirsi. We parked our car in the main road and walked around 100 metres to this place. Thali was priced at 150 rupees and it was amazing jolada rotti and side dishes. Rotis seemed very fresh, authentic and easy to eat, my daughter easily ate 3 rotis, we were quite surprised. Buttermilk was also good. Overall a great pit stop if you are around sirsi town around lunch time.

Went here after reading great reviews. Total disappointment. We had been to many khanawalis in Karnataka and they have excellent food and hospitality. This one was exception They served morning made sabji s for dinner Tasteless, cold Bhakri was made fresh but too hard and dry. And all this was over priced It's location is awful, next to public urinal I am not sure who gave good reviews for this place, maybe their own people

We went for dinner here reading google reviews only to find that google reviews are completely misleading. Food was not fresh/ warm could be prepared in the morning. test and ambiance was just ordinary, staff/ service was ok. cost 1-200 INR for such food was overall priced. overall very very disappointing experience.

Nice place to enjoy North Karnataka food with your family. The place is clean and the food is yummy!! Also, the owner himself takes care of the guest, with his father, and both are very friendly and kind. A must visit when you are in Sirsi.

However, the flavors of Sirsi Basaveshwar Khanavali remain unmatched, setting a high bar for other eateries.
