Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Rakshith Akki

Price are really expensive for the quantity they served, My Coorg friend always asked me to try pork chudal, but I Guess I messed up by trying it fr the first time in THIS PLACE. Now I hate Pork chudal for my place of choice...

Dreams on Wheels

For the hotel owner it's time to change I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Coorg is known for its generous pork dishes, but here, the portions are insultingly small, as if they count each piece before serving. The high prices don't match the meager quantities. To make matters worse, the staff behaves as if they're doing us a favor by taking our orders, treating us like we're eating for free. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Other diners have shared similar frustrations. One reviewer on Tripadvisor mentioned that the pork chili dry they ordered was "a plate full of pork belly fats and no meat," leading to significant disappointment. Another patron expressed dissatisfaction with the food quality and pricing, stating that the rice roti was hard and the pork curry lacked authentic Coorg flavors. Such consistent negative feedback highlights a troubling pattern that the restaurant urgently needs to address to meet the expectations of its patrons.

Prasanna Manjunath

Food not worth the price they charge. None of the food we ordered meet any expectations. Ambience is good. Not recommended for the food for sure. Better options are there in the town as far food is concerned. Very disappointed.

Iam Drinkwater

Visited Fort Mercara in Virajpet with my family, and let me just say, the "fort" here stands for *Fortress of Disappointment.* We started with the veg corn clear soup, which tasted like someone accidentally spilled a whole salt shaker into a bowl of cornflour glue. Told them to discard it, and thank God they did--it wasn't fit for even a science experiment. Next, the veg fried rice arrived with all the charisma of a wet mop. Below average would be an understatement; my cousin had a stomachache later, so thanks for that. Naan was decent (probably because it was hard to mess up), but the mushroom masala barely passed the taste test--it was spicy, yet tasteless, like they were trying to distract us from how bad it was. The cherry on top? Their service. Orders took forever, and the waiter looked like he'd rather be napping. We ordered 2 lemon teas, 1 lime juice, and a lassi, which *never showed up*. Instead, the staff, including the lady manager, were chilling on their phones like they were running a WiFi cafe, not a restaurant. By the time we asked for the bill, we were so frustrated we couldn't even argue when they took another 5 minutes to print it. The bill? Expensive, for portions that could barely feed a toddler. Owner, if you're reading this, *sack that entire staff*. You don't run a restaurant with lazy, clueless employees who treat customers like intrusions into their hangout time. If I could give zero stars, I would. One star is just for the naan. Don't waste your time or money here.

1. Four of us went for lunch. 2. They took 15 minutes to take order. 3. Our first order was literally cold but as we were hungry we adjusted it with other item. 4. Our second main order was not served and after 40 mins the staff member informed us that the order couldn't be served and they have changed the order to other dish which we later found out was of higher price value. I have travelled quite a bit in my life and with my experience I wouldn't suggest this place at all. The serving staff is clueless but good. The problem is with managerial staff. Don't waste your time firstly and money too.
