Decent Idli Vada and Pulao for breakfast. Wholesome meals served for lunch. The sambar is just amazing. No dinner. One of the very few places for vegetarians in Virajpet. The place doesn't look very Inviting. Don't even think about the ambience. But if good homely food is your priority then this place is just perfect.
There are no good veg hotels in Virajpet. While we were searching for a hotel which serves South Indian breakfast, we found this. The mess is in a house building. But the food quality and taste was amazing! We tried almost every option available here, Idli-Vada, Puliyogare, Pulav etc. The aromatic coffee was amazing!
I was visiting virajpet from Singapore with my brother to visit his in-laws and was totally impressed with meeting Mr.sampath who is the owner of the shop, an amazing person and down to earth. Thanks for your advise on the candid powder for my heat rashes esp with my stretch marks and worked like charm.The people in the shop are very friendly and customer centric in their service which is impeccable ! We went here for a vegetarian lunch. The place is not easily noticeable from the road. It is not very pleasing atmosphere inside. The food was not very great. But I still have given a 4* rating, because it is very difficult to find a pure vegetarian restaurant in this place. There is also another veg hotel next to this place. Next time I would like to try that hotel.
Awesome home cooked food. Very simple and basic. No frills. Very economical rates. Courteous staff. Love to visit this place!
