Exceptional food and service. Most polite and hospitable people I've met so far! My partner and I had been travelling the whole day and it was hot and we were craving for a parotta and chicken curry. The restaurant was almost closing and didn't have any material for parotta left but they still prepared a delicious and scrumptious chicken curry FROM SCRATCH- enough for the two of us and arrange parotta from a nearby hotel. 12/10 would recommend going there. Apart from the food, service and the view, we met a beautiful and friendly cat there which made my experience even better.

The best food I have eaten in Kerala, so far (8 days): Had the sambaram, which is a lassi with onion and ginger. yes, sounds strange, but it's cool and fresh yet biting. For those who don't shy away from a fresh onion, do try. |Also had a fish molly - i think it's in coconut milk with green slightly spicy pepper, tomato, and, I think, black cardamon. It was excellent. |the scene is also nice. You sit on a rooftop above the sand and there is even a bar on the periphery of the roof and you can sit there and watch the sea. |I saw a few other travelers there that seemed to enjoy their food very much.

WARNING: NOT LIKE THE PHOTOS ON HOSTEL WORLD! SEE PHOTOS I'VE POSTED. We arrived to the hostel and found no one in the front lobby. I had to walk deep into the messy kitchen to find someone, who told me that the person that could help me wasn't there so I had to walk around the building and to the back to find someone who could show us to our room. They showed us our room immediately. It was not like the pictures. The FAN WAS COVERED IN BLACK MOULD, more than I've ever seen. The bed SHEET HAD STAINS AND HOLES all over it, and the bed was rock hard. The path to get back to where I finally found someone to greet us smelled of urine. The lobby of the sleeping area was abandoned and had clothes and dirt all over. We immediately decided to leave and find something better. We walked down the street to Lemon Dew Beach house and it was amazing for pretty much the same price (1000 rupees for sea shore vs 1300 rupees for lemon dew). Really not sure how this got 8.8 on Hostelworld.

Didn't stay here but the food is amazing this was literally the best veg thali I've had in India - super cheap as well! If you are here don't skip this place for lunch 10/10 recommend. Also the lady who runs the place is super lovely!

We are 4 families stayed 2 nights .our stay were memorable. This homestay is next to beach. Owner living beside the property and they are friendly people. What do want they arrenge.fasil very nice man he arranged shikara boat very reasonable price.they have restaurant also Sabina aunty cook very tasty food we tried kerala fish thali it was very yammy. We got 4 rooms very very low price. Nice and friendly family runs this homestay. They treated like us family members. We forget our one laggage in room after reach railway station I did call to fasil and told him about my laggage immediately he came to station with my laggage. I never forget you fasil thank you mere Bhai. I suggest everyone to stay here.

I saw the amazing pics.... And made a booking! Reality is: All the pics of this house are very old (from the time, as it still looked good). There is no yoga or massage, as the photos are showing! The owner told me, the guests would have posted those photos. |The huts are completely broken... Very sad.||Nevertheless the food is awesome good and the personal is friendly. You have a great view to the beach from the restaurant. |||

Do not stay here, pics are so deceiving, no room service, they don't change bed sheets, water is so green ( fill in the bucket and see). I won't recommend staying here .

Great food! The whole family is very sweet. We didn't actually stay at the property but next time we'll definitely stay here. Right on the beach. Great vibes. Trying the Thalis is a must. The hosts are very generous and you will experience an authentic taste of Kerala when you stay here.
