Must visit for authentic Kerala snacks and piping hot tea. Earlier we used to have many shops like this catering to the local population. Many have converted themselves to so-called restaurants, some like this still exist. You will get hygienic food here.

Hi there, I have been to this place over a dozen times now for it's tasty secret delicacy. And you guessed it , this place is known for its "Unniappam". Food : If you go there don't leave the shop without having tea and some snacks especially an Unniappam because it's damn good. They have other snacks as well like Vada and others and they are all equally amazing and tasty but the Unniappam deserves a special mention. They finish out really quickly. Service : the staff just gets your order, no extra talking or anything, just the order. You can see the chef making it in the corner while the receptionist just collects the orders and dispatches them accordingly. Pretty quick service but it's better if u go in the afternoon rather than evening. Atmosphere: the whole place doesn't feel at the very least welcoming , doesn't feel the most hygienic place for sure. But the food quality is safe. But not very welcoming or anything.

Unniappam this is the place to be... And very nominally priced too... Just be sure to be there before 12 noon, as after that it's a hit or miss on availability!!! V went at around 1 once, got only 5 Unniappams the shop was wiped clean of these appams

Very nice dishes. Fresh and tasty. Can eat without any fear of adulteration. The quality of oil used is fine.

The best vada all over Chengannur. It's a must try. They also have unni appam . They serve breakfast. But keep in mind , things get over fast here so come ASAP!
