Karthiyayini Family Restaurant

Karthiyaini is an absolute gem on NH66 and if you're craving a proper Kerala-style seafood meal the this is the place to be. As someone living outside Kerala, this was my last meal before heading to the airport and I couldn't have asked for a better sendoff. Their regular meals, paired with the rich and flavorful fish and prawn gravies, were more than satisfying. I also tried their Neymeen Pollichath, which was perfectly cooked and their prawns chammanthi podi and mango pickle, absolutely divine! The pricing is reasonable and there's enough parking space, making it a easy stop. Karthiyaini is one of Cherthala's most underrated seafood spots, easy to find right on the highway. If it's noon, you're near Cherthala and fish curry meals are on your mind, look no further. Just a heads up, this is a seafood-only restaurant so expect nothing but the best from the ocean!

Karthiyayini Restaurant, Cherthala - The food was excellent and the service equally good.The meals were delicious, especially the chamandi and naranga achar. The chemballi (Malabar snapper) in kandhari masala was exceptionally fresh and full of flavour.

FRESH FISH BUT LITTLE COSTLY We had fresh seafood meals cooked brilliantly both the curry included in the meals are very delicious.neimeen fry and tirutha gravy's are great flavours. people are nice and kind. Certain dishes have a higher price tag.

Great option for authentic kerala seafood preparation. Very friendly staff. Tried their lunch with fish and prawn curry.

We had dinner from this restaurant. But the food was not upto the mark. The quality of the food is not worth the price we pay for it. Some dishes were too spicy. Beef in beef roast was too chewy. We couldn't even eat half the curry we bought as we were tired of chewing the beef.

110 Rs for meals is reasonable considering the ambience, service and quality of food they provide. You can sit, relax and enjoy the food. Sea Food Special also seemed not to be costly.
