Pocket Diner

I ordered BDF, Beef Fry, and Chicken Curry on 29/04/2025 around 10:30 PM, and the entire meal was salty and inedible. When I brought this to the attention of the restaurant, the owner admitted the issue, which shows they were aware of the poor quality being served. I was only partially refunded 250 out of the 857 I spent. When I asked for a full refund due to the ruined experience, the owner was rude and dismissive, showing no regard for customer satisfaction, the money spent, or the time wasted. It's extremely disheartening to see this level of carelessness and disrespect toward paying customers. I hope the management takes responsibility and ensures better quality control in the future--we deserve better.

Pocket Diner is my current favorite in Cherthala! The ambience is nice, and their Porotta and Butter Chicken is a winning combo. The butter chicken is so tender and tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cherthala!

Location & Accessibility: Easy to find. Parking: Limited Parking at the storefront.Not sure if they have a parking lot. Cleanliness & Hygiene: Well-maintained Staff & Service: Friendly. Pricing & Value: Reasonable. Ambience & Atmosphere: Family-friendly Wheel chair accessibility in entrance, dining area and washroom. They have low height sink . Complimentary snacks was a plus. I personally liked their seating arrangment at entrance.

Delicious. Visited Pocket Diner on 28/04/2024 and was pleasantly surprised by the neat and tidy ambiance. The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, including an impressive selection of porotta options. The wait time was reasonable, averaging around 10-15 minutes depending on your order. Convenient parking was also available. Overall, I had a delightful experience and would highly recommend Pocket Diner to fellow food enthusiasts.

The vibe was comfy for both family and friends. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. However, the service was average. I didn't feel professionalism in dealing with customer requests. They managed to forget one dish altogether from the order but billed for the same. And 10 min after we asked for extra chapatis, one comes and tells us that the chapatis have finished.

The place is decorated for late evenings & night's visit, highly appreciated for the ambience they created. One of the best in Cherthala Town. Tried their Chiken Shavaya was good, Hope will again visit again soon for trying other menu's. The Nool Porotta was excellent and highly recommended. The normal porotta was decent, but the beef fry was tough and not very enjoyable.

The food was quite delicious as every dish was well presented aswell with the balancing good ambience but only the temperature was the issue because of the warmness in the air
