KTDC Tamarind Restaurant

This is a place which makes you want to go there. KTDC is one of the few government establishments which is well maintained and keeps up their standard. Extremely pleased by the taste & quality of the food and behavior of the staff.

Part of KTDC, this property is located in Dharmasala. This property has three set ups viz. lodging, restaurant and bar. As the location is on the highway, the bar always find customers. The day I visited the restaurant, the property was fully unoccupied due to non peak season and the restaurant has only fried rice and chappathis. I would like to mention that the lodging is suitable for pilgrims visiting Parassinikadavu and Thaliparambu temples.

Giving 2 stars due to atmosphere and parking only. Kerala Meals was disaster experience. The fish fry were charged high and the quality of fry is very disappointing. They did dip fry instead of Tava fry. The veg biriyani also was not tasty. Not preferred for food lovers. Better visit coffee house nearby.

They need to have perception, focus and clarity to the needs of customers beyond local from menu to service & beyond. Language a barrier. Service personal seem untrained. Taste of North Indian delicacy is no different than the local kerala cuisine... many more deficiencies, order of serving and supervision is missing

The restaurant seriously needs to train its staff on how to properly serve customers.
