Chef Choice, a recently opened biriyani and neychor restaurant at Thottakkattukara, has quickly caught the attention of food enthusiasts in the area. It's a small yet well-designed eatery with cozy interiors, capable of accommodating 12-15 diners at a time. The restaurant is currently running an inaugural offer, making it quite affordable: Chicken Biriyani for 119 Beef Neychor Combo (available on Fridays and Saturdays) for 139 Chicken 65 Biriyani for 169 I decided to try their Chicken 65 Biriyani. The portion included two medium-sized chicken pieces with sufficient rice, and they offer extra rice if needed, which is a nice touch. The Chicken 65 came with 5-6 small pieces, but unfortunately, the taste didn't stand out. The biriyani rice was on the oily side and tasted average overall. The hospitality was commendable, with the staff being attentive and polite. The interiors were pleasant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Chef Choice is situated adjacent to Thottakkattukara Kadungaloor Road. While two-wheelers can park easily in front of the restaurant, parking for cars might be a challenge due to limited space. Chef Choice shows promise with its affordable pricing and good service, but there's room for improvement in the taste and quality of their dishes. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but don't expect exceptional flavors yet. Hopefully, they'll refine their recipes in the coming weeks.
