Started off with a flavorful veg Manchow soup. Their parotta is arguably the best I've had in Kochi--flaky, soft, and perfectly made. Paired with a scrumptious vegetable stew, it was an absolute delight. Among the non-vegetarian options, the fish tawa fry was a clear winner. The aapam and parotta served with satti chicken curry were thoroughly enjoyed. We wrapped up the meal in style with a refreshing mango juice (though aam ras still takes the crown) and some rich chocolate ice cream.

Disappointing Experience Visited Mamma Restaurant and found the overall experience underwhelming. The service was very slow and the food was overpriced for the quality offered. The soup was thick and jelly-like and we had to get it changed. Kadai chicken was more like vegetable kadai with few pieces of over cooked chicken. Food was just average and definitely not worth the price. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for value or timely service.

The ambiance is good. The chairs are comfy. The walls and lighting are tastefully done. Good place for a family dinner. The food is decent too. I found the quantity to be sufficient. However, it was difficult for us to get the attention of the waiting staff - even though there were only a few tables occupied. The staff seemed to be preoccupied. Apart from that, we had a good experience.

Food is good but make sure you have plenty time to wait .: felt like waiting time is more than normal when I ordered food like fish curry etc.: may be they cooked the food that time only good parking space and one security to support parking .:

I would like to share my horrible experience with Mama's food as many of my friends recommend me to try the food. I asked for Chinese chili chicken which turned out me up side down .. as you can see it's just chicken cubes fried along with biryani fried onions and few juliennes of bell pepper without any Chinese ingredients and completely blanc no spicy no salt .. as I wanna give them zero rating unfortunately there is a rating system starts with one to five so I have to give something .. trust me they don't deserve even zero .. God knows from which part of the world they have hired specialty cooks .. oops sorry cooks .. Good luck to Mamas and the entire team .. this post is as fresh as this food .. if you reading this review, you may refer the picture please ..

During my childhood this was one of my favourite. After the renovation and all that posh glow-up, this has become a total misery. The food was very bland and it is not even worth for half of the price. It way too expensive. If you are making food expensive then you should serve in the same way. And on the top of that the staff service i received was pathetic. It is as if i have come to eat for free. They don't even care. I had a chinese fried rice, the worst i had in my life. The fried rice at Alakapuri kakkanad is way better than this Overall verdict- below average

The newly opened Benhur The Tavern has a pretty chilled out ambience for a place in Kochi. Spacious with big tables and a peaceful outdoor seating, it's a place for both family and the young alike. Food is from Mammas restaurant below as it always has been and the standard is as high as it used to be, though it's way pricey than before.

Very Expensive food. Quantity is less & very slow service. It's not a place for a quick munch. When checked they told they have got a special chicken curry. The cost was 190 for their chatty curry. They told it is for 2 to 3 people serving. It had a lot of gravy but very few small chicken pieces. They will make to purchase their most expensive food. The taste of the food too is average
