Vallakadavu Restaurant

As the name suggests, the restaurant is located near the ferry and water metro, right by the river. However, despite its riverside location, the menu doesn't have many fish dishes. I visited on a Sunday morning. Normally, I choose light food for breakfast, but this time I went for something heavier--Puttu and potty curry. The food was excellent! The curry had a great texture, with the fried grated coconut adding a wonderful flavor. The spices were just right, and I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Unfortunately, the tea was disappointing. While it was strong, it lacked taste and came very late--long after I finished eating. I even had to remind the waiter to bring it, which might explain the poor quality. The seating was very comfortable, and the interiors were beautifully designed. Despite being crowded on a Sunday morning, the food came quickly, showing their efficiency. However, the waiter seemed a bit confused when taking orders, which could be improved. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, but the tea and service need some work.

Must try place if you are a fish lover. Great taste and since they also sell fish they offer very fresh fish with their in house special masala which makes the dish very yummy. It's a small restaurant in terms of ambience but their customer service makes up for any shortcomings.

I have been a regular visitor to Vallakkadavu Restaurant, and it used to be one of my favorite spots for a delicious meal. The combination of their porotta and beef fry was simply mouthwatering--definitely one of the best in town. Their broasted chicken was a standout as well, even surpassing the taste of KFC at times. However, during my recent visit, I noticed a significant drop in quality. To my disappointment, beef fry was unavailable, and on several occasions, many of the other dishes were also not available. The overall flavor that once made the restaurant a must-visit is no longer the same. I believe the management needs to step in and figure out what went wrong. Restoring the taste and consistency that made Vallakkadavu a local favorite would bring back its loyal customers. There's potential for the restaurant to shine again, but only if they address the current issues.

Had Shawai, small less tastier, wings portions were burned as black. Not worthy for 500 rupees. The only thing best was the Mayo, but the quantity was lesser. I just want to know the cause of the rush, i think it might be the ambience.

The food that I order is shawai , but from my side it's like ok , the chicken that I expected we didn't get that flavour, but the delay for that waiting is like for a milestone, From my side it's hospitality is not better for the customer.

Worst experience.We've ordered the food at 8:45 and it's been 2 hours(10:45) yet we haven't received the food.This is the third time happening.While reporting them regarding this incident they pick up the call and after getting to know about the delay , they'll just hang up. Very pathetic situation

Experienced good service and ambience. Food was good but the chicken curry they served was much oily. All others are good and reasonable.

One of the best food spot in the locality,but the attitude of the staff is really bad , many times i felt like they think i am there to have food for free.and take too much time for getting order and most of the times there will be mistake giving chai instead of coffee.
