The beef was tender, and the porotta was decent, but unfortunately, it didn't quite match the greatness it used to have. The flavors were just average, and the dishes felt like they could have been prepared with more attention to detail. Though not bad, it didn't live up to the past experiences we've had here. SERVICE & HOSPITALITY: The service was good, with the staff being polite and attentive throughout our visit. They were efficient, ensuring that the meal was served promptly. In summary, Raandhal Restaurant in Kannur used to be known for its exceptional food, but the quality has dipped in recent times. While the service and ambiance remain good, and the location is easily accessible, the food quality no longer delivers the same experience, leading to mixed feelings.

Visited Rantal, a Kerala taravadu-style restaurant with an undeniably aesthetic interior--wooden roof, elegant chandeliers, and even a small fountain inside. The setting had all the charm for a peaceful and classy dining experience. But the food? Big letdown. Ordered a biryani priced at 200 (why I mentioned price I had better and delicious biriyani from other restaurants at 160-180 rupees )and got barely one and a half pieces of chicken. The flavor was bland and felt below average--especially shocking coming from Kannur, a place known for its legendary dum biryani. I expected so much more. The place wins for ambience, but the kitchen seriously needs to level up.

Awesome restaurant if you want to dine-in in Kannur. They have very unique interior. Foods were very nice. Their hospitality was very good. We could pick a fresh catch, a Red Snapper, and get that cooked. They've halved the fish and cooked in two different way. Price also was very much reasonable. Overall: awesome restaurant. You must have at-least one meal here.

Came here in the night for some prawns. Got some amazing large prawns made in butter garlic and a kari meen in tawa fry. The masala was so on point and tasty for both. Loved it. And the ambience is very nice with ample parking space

We stopped to have lunch at Raandhal and the food here was simply amazing. We opted for the snapper and squid from the fresh fish counter and the masala. Both were marinated and cooked to absolute perfection. You just have to wait for a bit for the seafood to be cooked, which we didn't mind doing. We had pudding - coconut, mango, caramel and strawberry (I think) - and these were all good too. Very refreshing after a spicy meal. There is plenty of parking.

One of the best in Kannur. Short drive from Railway Station. Recommend their chati chor and range of biriyanis. Excellent customer service. Very polite, kind staff. Safely accommodating babies. Reasonable prices. Will go again.

I was here on a weekday afternoon on a public holiday. The place was not too busy. They have a dedicated parking space. Both air con and outside dining are available. High chairs for kids are available. The food was average. They had run it off biriyani nu the time I reached at around 5 pm. Porota and dragon chicken fry was average. Digital payments are all accepted. The food price was high in my opinion for the quality

Structure and atmosphere is nice but the toilet was stinky. The food was tasting good . Overall it was nice.
