The single most reason I give 5 stars is because of the toilet. This shares the toilet with the downstairs East India Company cafe. The toilet was probably the best I have experienced in Cochin. Clean, dry, toilet paper, no smell and clean wash basin with disposable towels that work. Clean toilets are such a necessity for any restaurant but no one in India - even 5 star hotels don't seem to care. Thank you for catering to this simple but essential need. In addition, the food here was excellent.

The food and service are good, and the ambience is nice as well. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. There is no toilet on the dining floor; it is only available on the ground floor, which is a bit inconvenient. Also, when we ordered meals for four people, the table was not spacious enough to accommodate all the plates comfortably. It would be better to either reduce the size of the plates or increase the size of the tables to avoid this issue.

Delicious food. Good service and atmosphere. We ordered beef kappa biriyani and fish curry meals along with pork. We also had buttermilk and pineapple juice. Everything was great. Pork was very tasty.

Wonderful meal at Aroma kitchen! We came as a group of 4 for dinner, and ordered kothu parotta and kizhi parotta, pork pollichathu, duck mappas, and fish kallil chutteduthathu--everything was delicious! We also ordered drinks which were homemade and which we were able to order less sweet, all of which we really enjoyed. The restaurant ambiance is lovely, on the first floor with very colorful tasteful decor. We also got appam, which was tasty and which a chef made fresh at a cart in the seating area. Overall a very good experience and well priced meal, definitely would recommend.

A nice restaurant with many authentic Kerala dishes. On my first visit, I tried their Kanthari Chicken Kappa Biriyani and to be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the dish as it was over powered with the taste and flavour of coriander leaves. Because of that, I couldn't enjoy the bite and flavour of kanthari in the dish. However they are so customer focused and checking with each customer whether the food is okay. When I shared my feedback, he (I am not sure whether he is a staff or the owner), immediately apologised and offered to replace the dish. I was really impressed by their customer focused approach as I have not seen many restaurants in Kochi doing that. So I decided to give it another try. This time, I ordered Beef Kappa Biriyani and specifically asked not to add coriander leaves. The dish was really delicious.

The place was calm and quiet but have limited seats. The kerala style food was exceptional.

I ventured to Aroma Kitchen with a party of four, ready to dive into some seriously good grub. Spoiler alert: the food did not disappoint, but vegetarians might want to carry a backup plan--or some snacks in their pockets. We kicked things off with Gobi 65, a dish so crispy and flavorful that even the carnivores at the table gave it a nod of approval. It's the kind of starter that makes you wonder, "Why isn't everything deep-fried?" The main course was where Aroma Kitchen really flexed its culinary muscles. The nool porotta was as delicate as it was stretchy, the mushroom masala had a velvety richness that screamed, "Don't stop dipping!" The beef kothu porotta was an explosion of spice and crunch that could probably wake the dead. And the kanthari chicken kappa biriyani? A fiery masterpiece that had us reaching for our drinks--well, except for the one friend who didn't realize sulaimani isn't dessert tea. Speaking of drinks, the iced lemon tea was a zesty refresher, and the vanilla milkshake was comfort in a glass. But here's a tip: don't try mixing them unless you're into weird fusion cuisine. The only hiccup? Vegetarians might find the menu selection a little sparse, unless you count the garnish as a dish. A couple more options for our plant-loving pals would make this place a total crowd-pleaser. Final verdict: Aroma Kitchen is where your taste buds party, your spice tolerance gets tested, and your vegetarian friends get teased. Totally worth a visit!

Followed our noses to Aroma on a whim, and it was a total win! The Kanthari Chicken Biryani, Kanthari koonthal fry, Nool Parotta, and Chemmeen Roast were bursting with flavor. Each bite was a treat..delicious, memorable, and absolutely worth the surprise visit!
