Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Went there to have some fine dining. Right from the very beginning you will have a quite peaceful ambience and atmosphere. We ordered the following. Starting with a creamy soup of chicken. This was so damn tasty Then we went for the penne Alfredo chicken pasta. This truly melts in your mouth, this is the best version I have had Now it was time for a couple of chapathi and some spicy tikka masala. The chicken was so tender and was just perfect Now to finish off we tried the karimeen pollichathu. This thing was super perfect and it was a big one too. Loved the food , atmosphere and the service.. everything was so damn perfect. Special thanks to ajmal sabic .who has been splended job in attending our table Thanks chef , Your cooking is mouth-watering, even for the toughest critics to please. Hats off to you guys for making our evening and amazing one. Can't wait to visit again.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ! Went to Raviz kollam all the way from trivandrum ! Restaurant is be open only after 7.30 pm (if you are going for dinner ) . We where planned to take " a la carte " but one of the staffs suggested us to go with buffet as the cooking time will take some time when we order separately . We took the buffet. From the soup , very bad cream of tomato soup ( felt really half cooked ) . For starters they provided fried iddli and some green spinach cutlets. Cutlet was good. But from the main course we felt more worse. One of the veg curry and tomato soups tastes exactly the same ! Went for noodles and the noodles taste was like tooo bad. The white cream pasta was really good ! Deserts was also not that much good ! Breads and appam was extremely good ! Not recommended to anyone. Was really had a bD experience. We told the chef. We really felt in these types of restaurants they are serving veg foods with less care and preference. Good staffs with good management .
Went there after long time to try the famous 'Nirvana' . Went there expecting the same quality and taste as before but was really disappointed. The food didn't felt like old times . If you are a Nirvana fan and going back there for having it again, it's a big 'no' from me . Restaurant as always had a nice ambience.
This restaurant offers the best ambience in Kollam and has a decent range of food. However, service levels need to improve along with the quality of the dishes. The restaurant can get crowded during peak hours and it's best to avoid visiting at these times. Do take a post (or pre) meal walk through the hotel grounds that offer an good view of the Ashtamudi Lake.
Had breakfast buffet for 2days. Quiet consistent. Ambience. Is good . Both indoor and out door facing the lake seating available. Service is good , waiter are very polite , even though they are very busy servicing guest, found them polite and taking extra request . Food is good. Loved the live dosa and egg counter
Very much disappointed with the service of this so called 7 star Hotel in my very own Kollam. The Menu -------- The menu itself is so unstructured .That we have to ask for the contents of the menu .f. ex chappathi cost is written for 2 nos where as parotta is for 1 nos .So confusing.Every time we have to ask how many fulkas is there in 1 portion etc .Why can't a 5 star restaurant write in simple terms the menu and the portions in each menu The mains is also confusing a 5 star Restaurent like Raviz menu is printed on an A4 paper huh . Food - quantity Horrible .The quantity of the food is so below standards that you will have to pay thru your nose to quench a decent hunger Food - quality Okay the breads were good but all curries were oily Value for money Never again
I have stayed and dined at Leela several times across India and I must it has been excellent experience at every occassion. However, the Christmas gala dinner in 2024 at this venue was a huge diappointment. The booking was done for 13 guests from Sweden for the Christmas gala dinner, more than a month in advance. It was even reconfirmed on the the day of the dinner via text (initiated by me). However upon arrival, our guests were disappointed to not have the reserved table. It was difficult to figure out who was responsible at the venue and who to raise the concern to. After a while, we were given excuses and asked to wait without much clarity. We kept waiting/standing for more than 45 minutes and managed to get table quite late instead of planned time at around 20.00. The dinner arrangement, itself was a total chaos. The booking conditions and actuals had mismatch too. The arrangement was done in a bounquet hall and it did not give the ambience you would expect. I would have rather preferred to dine elsewhere if it was not late on 25th December. Big disppointment and has been a huge let down in front of my extended family. For a premium gala dinner, I least expected it from Leela brand. This Venue is a clear no to me for the next time. Not recommended.
Food was super and the staff was also very good especially the manager of the restaurant (Bijil). He is very polite and taking care of all the guests coming to the restaurant.
