Lakshmi Hotel in Kothamangalam is one of those places that locals keep going back to -- and I've done it over 50 times myself. Their biriyani isn't extraordinary, but it has a nostalgic comfort that people here genuinely cherish. The meals are homely and satisfying, perfect for a no-fuss lunch. The place, however, is small and not ideal for anyone who's even slightly claustrophobic. The structure feels a bit dated -- you can actually feel the floor shake at times, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Service is quick, but don't expect much warmth or engagement. Also, no beef on the menu. All said, it's a dependable stop for a comforting meal, if you're okay with tight spaces and a bit of structural drama.

The food is tasty. Service is also good. The hotel is having lots of customers in the noon. We should wait for getting a table. Worth having food from here. One of the best in Kothamangalam area. The price is also very feasible.

We have visited this hotel today as a family you have breakfast. I selected this hotel based on the reviews as seen on Google. But I feel the reviews are not correct. This hotel is not apt for a family. This is a congested hotel. The food is average only. There is no bathroom facility for women. The available facility is too stinky and bad. The rates are reasonable. The behaviour of the cashier or or owner at the counter is not so appreciated.

A good spot to have lunch or breakfast in Kothamangalam. During college days, we usually go here for lunch. Food is good at reasonable price. Recently tried Idli , puttu and kadala curry from here. The restaurant is bit congested, and bathroom facility is not good.

Hotel Lakshmi is one of the old hotel in Kothamangalam who is serving food for past 35 years. This was the best hotel in Kothamangalam during 90s and keeping the same taste till today. The hotel ambience is traditional style, may be not suitable for young generation. The owner Gangadharan is a nice person and he love to serve decent food to the customers. If you are looking for good food, yes it is a good place. In all other latest interior and exterior show off is not available here. It serves both veg and non.

Oily food, but tasty. I went for eating chicken biryani but ended up with poratta and chicken. I opened zomato and could see chicken biryani as menu and was available online. The hotel seems to be reserving foods expecting swiggy or zomato orders but not providing for dine in customers.

It's really tough to find out this restaurant from the main road ie NH. No parking space available. The restaurant is placed in side a shopping complex and looks so small from outside. Inside there is enough place for seating. Food they serve is authentic and free from chemicals. They are budget friendly too. Must try items here are Biriyani Kerala Porotta
