I ordered Peri peri Alfam and porotta; The extra spicy masala masked the undercooked meat and I developed severe vomiting and looses stools right after having the food! Really poor
I ordered alfham kuzhimanthi and it was too spicy and the rice was over cooked and contains full of spices in the rice, didn't expect this type of foods, very bad
In Chamayakara homely food I had a delightful dining experience! This restaurant is known for its mouth-watering Kerala cuisine. The highlights of my visit were: - The authentic and flavorful dishes, especially the Kappa biriyani - The generous portion sizes and reasonable prices - The attentive and friendly service - The clean and comfortable seating area The only area for improvement I noticed was the wait time for food preparation, which was slightly longer than expected. Overall, Chamayakara Restaurant is a great choice for those craving traditional Kerala flavors in a welcoming setting. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again!

A no nonsense restaurant serving good food . By looks and service it may appear to be an average road side restaurant but I must admit the fact that they serve one of the best alfaham in Kottayam that too for just 130. Even their shavarma roll is one of best I had from Kottayam and for 70 rs it's worthy and tasty than the overpriced cabbage shavarma in rumali served by most shavarma cafes in town . Kappa biryani is also tasty . One area they should improve is only on the service side ,the staffs take orders/serve the food like they have no interest but still who cares when food is the ultimate priority
The worst waiters I have ever encountered in a restaurant, they behave as if we were there for some sort of charity. The food was so worse that we didn't eat anything from that rotten pile of ***t. Hope zero stars were an option to rate this restaurant.
Worst experience ever I'd in my entire life. Serving was in a very unpleasant way. They don't give attention to their customers and try to create a feel of rush in the place without doing anything except rushing from corner to corner. I wish there is an option for Zero star
