Kanthari Restaurant Kottayam

I ordered beef ularthu from kanthari restaurant, kanjikuzhy. The quantity was less and whole box full of tallow meat & liver portions (not even good beef ) and rest of onions & coconut slices for 270/- . I won't recommend anyone.

Absolutely brilliant food place... Limited 10-12 seating space.. Friendly staff across the counter with a clear view of the long kitchen. Believe me, So dam spick and clean kitchen. It's a self service dining.. Dining area is also clean... They have more food deliveries and less in dining. They clear on their target customers. The food portions are pretty large.. served hot, crispy and tasty.. Even if you have to order food, highly recommend this place.. If you are planning to dine in, you might have to wait.. have a great meal..

Lunch for 3 at Kanthari restaurant in Kottayam. There are only 10 seats in this place so it's a bit small. It looks like it's a popular takeaway spot. We ordered the Chicken Dum Biriyani, 2 porottas, the Pothu Shaap roast and the Paalkappa with Fish curry. Although I personally did not try the Paalkappa & Fish curry, the feedback was very positive. The porotta was excellent (flaky and not greasy) and so was the Pothu Shaap roast. The Chicken Dum Biriyani was superb too (super soft chicken, Kaima rice with ghee richness)! Our total bill for 3 was about Rs.770/- Highly recommended.

Ordered chicken 65 and the quantity was very less for Rs. 250 . Half of the box was filled with Pappad. Very bad service.

Food is decent but not very tasty had their fried rice and schewan chicken porotta and their lunch Lunch is much better but fried rice and curry is average Seating space is very limited parking is also limited

The porotta was really crispy and the beef fry was really good. Nice ambience and very tidy place. Although the desserts weren't that great.

Its a good self service restaurant. Its a modernized restaurant with lots of good food options, it allows only self service but the things are faster and well organized. The place is very clean and hygiene. Taste was good and had a good experience. Limited parking and Limited seating was available.
