The Ghats Restaurant

We visited The Ghats Restaurant on Shastri Road in Kottayam and had a great experience overall. We ordered: 1 Chicken Biriyani 4 Porottas 1 Beef Varutharacha Curry (this was excellent - highly recommended!) 2 Palappams 1 Fish Molly 1 Chikku Shake 1 Avocado Shake The beef varutharacha curry truly stood out - rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken biriyani was above average, though not exceptional. The porottas and appams were average, and the shakes were decent - nothing too special. The service was fast, and the staff was polite and helpful. The ambiance is nice, and the restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Kottayam on Shastri Road. Overall, it was a good spot for a satisfying Kerala-style meal. It's definitely worth a try if you're nearby!

A new hotel in town, conveniently located near the main road with ample parking space. We visited for breakfast and tried the Appam and Ghee Roast--both were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the restaurant, along with the restrooms, is thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. With enough seating for 40-50 guests, the space feels comfortable and inviting. There's also a cafe next to the restaurant, perfect for tea and snacks. Highly recommended for authentic Naadan Kerala dishes! Looking forward to trying their lunch and dinner menu soon.

Had lunch a few times from the restaurant. The food was tasty and service was great. The Thali meals was delicious ,the porotta was super soft are some to mention. All the staffs are courteous, especially Mr. Stalin and the security uncle. The owner Mr. Tarun keenly listened to feedback or suggestions from every customer.

We had breakfast on Sunday morning at this newly opened restaurant in kottayam town. We only tried few items - appam, mutton stew & black chickpeas curry, the rates were reasonable. The appams & mutton stew were really tasty but I felt the kadala curry was slightly watery, probably needs few more mins of cooking time.

We visited the restaurant on its inaugural day without knowing anything about the inauguration or the restaurant. The food was amazing! We ordered fish curry meals, and I can confidently say they were the best in town. My request to the management team is to maintain the same great taste. I will surely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Great family restaurant with tasty food my personal best choice out of wat we eat, was the duck curry and chicken dosa both 5/5 yummy

I loved the dum Biryani from here , also tried noodles which is good. Fried was little dry. Good atmosphere.
